Hi My tank has plenty of plants and approximate 40 red cherry shrimp. Every now and then I see a shrimp being eaten by the rest of them. I don't know if it was dies or if they killed it. I feed them pellets for shrimp but I don't know if I feed them enough, however, that shouldn't be a problem...

Actually that is somthing that I have done and the plants are growing behind the root an also trying to find moss for the wood.

The thing is that because the beam angle is 120 degrees, even by lowering the light closer to the tank might cover the 60cm x 40xm area. That was my question. Surely less coverage but maybe enough for my tank size?

So thats it! Go to 100% and stay there! You will be growing algae no doubt about it until your plants start growing and grow healthy and fill out the tank...then you will start trimming the parts where there is algae until no algae is left since new growth will not have any algae...go for it...
