    Bought a lovely piece of redmoor from The Green Machine, but only needed to soak it for about a week and a half before it was ready. Never experienced any leaching from it, but it did get coated in a translucent algae type substance (Made your eyes feel a bit blurry when you looked at it :lol...

    Just following up on something London Dragon said in another thread, about pruning it down to the substrate to combat algae... I have Eleocharis Acicularis / Needle Spike Rush in my planted tank, it was set up 4 weeks ago and planted from the offset, it is fairly low light and has no CO2...
