Yes I hope so!! I need to find my self a pretty jar and a decent light, I sold my kit a few month ago to find moving house so need to start again! I always just used a basic ikea desk lamp that seemed to work. What sort of set up do you use for your wabi? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey Troi, I have just read through this thread and sorry to hear it went the wrong way. It was looking extremely impressive. I remember when I had my small triptychs and I suffered the same thing. I found my rocks turning green and I could not seem to get rid of this.. I then moved to jungle...

Hi clive, completely agree with what you have just said. Can i ask a simple question to you though. Colour becomes paler and the spectrum alters. Not irrelevant. But does par rating drop too? I must admit I do agree with this. I felt that each scapes analytical diagrammatic changed every time to suit the scape. But I guess this is exactly the point were all agreeing on. That nothing is a certainty. I can see this becoming a little like the lighting thread where it becomes more of...

    Opinions on yeast

I dont think anyone can claim that can they? I do however think that the term should be changed to 'the guide of two thirds' Im not talking about geomerty mumbo jumbo Im just simply saying, whether we like it or not, our vision immediately relates to imbalances and asymmetry. unless its a...

    Opinions on yeast

Yes thanks Mate :-) puffers are plumping right up :-) as for all of the above, the plants don't really care what u dose as long as it's right.. Co2 is co2 it's just in different forms. On a 20l carbonated water would be fine, obviously gas co2 is always better but u will get very good effects...
  61. jack-rythm

    Opinions on yeast

Personally I would steer well clear of DIY. There are many options rather than DIY yeast builds. Your tank is small so carbonated water would work a treat, that's cheap. U can by liquid carbon too if u use it as guided. :-) Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
  62. jack-rythm

A challenge: break these 3 aquascaping rules with a great tank

I don't think there is a right and wrong focal point as long as you have it balanced with other factors, it's difficult to determine which is focal on different scapes, ie. Island scapes, corner scapes, iwagumi scapes, Dutch scapes, jungle scapes etc. All angles and direction will always differ...
  63. jack-rythm

A challenge: break these 3 aquascaping rules with a great tank

I think its just showing where the focal points are in relation to the 3 3rds rule and the gridded lines maybe? I think the focal points have a lot of give and room for manipulation as long as the other areas are balanced.

    Advice on substrate

I agree but the hairgrass for me can be painstaking if your not running co2. As for weights for the plants, you shouldn't have to add anything on to the bottom at all, just push firmly into the soill and it will stay..once planted after a couple of weeks it should anchor itself in the soils...
