    But the leds are gradually ramping to 100% over the 5 hour period before so still getting plenty of light, I may increase the static period if needed but atm all plants growing well and red plants looking redder than with the T5's.

    I purchased DP-3 just before Christmas and have set it up as per Jag's guide (many thanks) and all is working fine so far. I ended up just using 2 x 500ml spring water bottles for containers but will probably replace for these for something a bitter bigger.

    Mine has 2 guages and I very rarely look at them tbh. If you really want to spend and upgrade take a look at the complete kits at Co2Art they have 2 Sodastream kits 1 at £85 & 1 at £99 which can also use fire extinguishers if you manage to find a source.

    I made my own led light unit and have had similar problems. In my case the unit was getting damp and individual leds were failing the result was all other leds were lit but very dim and sometimes flickering.

    You could try rubbing seal with some Vaseline might improve the seal. I replaced my Aquagro with a Fluval diffuser which seems to be more efficient.

    Many thanks for your help. :) I think I will go with a LPC-60-1050 for 10 cool white XT-E and an APC-16-700 for 4 warm white XT-E Hopefully this will give me plenty of light and a pleasing colour.

    Buenos Aires Tetra are quite striking and get to a max of 4", Emperor Tetra's are also nice but only get to around 2", or theres the Bloodfin Tetra similar colouring to the Colombians but a more intense red and of course different body shape these get to around 2.5"

    I am still considering all options and I am in email conversation with both TGM and Aqua essentials. Only issue with AE's packs is they don't list what plants you get, they just say 20 mixed potted plants, I'm sure they would be excellent but I like TGM's themed approach more.
