    Comprehensive plant list + pictures?

Christel Kasselmanns book "Aquarium plants" is a really good book about plants. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Aquarium-Plants-Christel-Kasselmann/dp/1575240912/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1320711218&sr=8-2

    light pendant stand help

How about something like this? I made it of a IKEA curtain rod, some limitations on hanging weight though.

    utricularia graminifolia

Ug wll not eat your baby shrimp;) With sufficient Co2 and EI you`ll manage Ug fine in your tank. The plant is somewhat sensitive before its rooted properly, much like Hc. When well established its quite tough in my experience.

    Heavy duty CO2 inline reactor

Got this http://www.us-aquaristikshop.com/co2-reaktoren/co2-reaktor-midijet-16mm-mit-blasenzaehler.html?xploidID=rr7aibdqteitnkaucqqncchj20bne4cc myself, it handles 10+ bps with ease.

    Where do you have yours?

Well in the beginning it was hard to dial in Co2, but eventually I got the hang of it and now it runs free of algae

    Where do you have yours?

    Its a hackjob on a shoplight with dual 70w halides. Here`s a thread with some images; http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/foru ... alike.html

    Low tech, no co2, sump...

The filterype is quite common with reefers, can actually be used outside the sump aswell.

    Low tech, no co2, sump...

Its a standard external durso, with a small twist to it. A smaller tube is inserted inside the large 40mm hose, this smaller tube is full siphon. The benefits are a 100% silent overflow with no splashing. Should the smaller tube clog the large one is a safeguard against flooding.

    Low tech, no co2, sump...

Its simply a glasstank with a schuran multifilter which comprises the biological and mechanical filtering and a return pump which also doubles as Co2 reactor.

    Low tech, no co2, sump...

Just good experiences using a sump on a planted 200 liter, sure there is a little more co2 outgassing compared to a regular setup but co2 is cheap so its no problem. Very handy to just drop equipment into the sump and waterchanges is also easier. Added benefits are constant waterlevel and...

    Will this reactor work

An alternate solution to making a reactor or using a diffuser is simply to feed Co2 into the inlet of the return-pump. Here`s a crappy picture of my sump, used a Aqua Medic tee to connect the Co2 hose. Works like a charm :D Gets a nice mist from the return-outlet.

Love the dimensions on the tank, this is going to be a beautiful Iwagumi :)

    Osaka 260 Mish Mash

Luis, the choice between these two is easy. The Reefdoser from AM are an incredibly crappy piece of equipment, any other brand would be better in the long run.

Phytosanitary certificate for buying plants from overseas?

I might have some to spare if the journey from Asia is to tough on it. The image shows Pantanal in both emersed and submersed form, the larger cousin L.inclinata "Cuba" on the top edge.

    HQL light

Hql light will be fine for growing plants, the humans however might find it a little on the yellow side  Cheers

    Utricularia graminifolia flower

The flowering was not intentional, but certainly a nice surprice :D

    Utricularia graminifolia flower

The Ug is floating in a small aquarium, so the flowering is emersed. Have seen it sending up flowerstalks submersed but it didnt flower then.

    Dan's Little Mountain replacement

Amazing hardscape! Might I suggest using a little Utricularia graminifolia, it has a tendency to grow in a "flowing" pattern which I think would suit this aquascape well. Regards Jan Ove

    ELOS Substrates

I`ve been using Elos Terra in this http://akvaforum.no/akvarium.cfm?id=9801 nano. Nice substrate, similar to AS in term of nutritional value I think. Cost prohibitive though, 85£ for a 15l bag. But thats one of the disadvantages of living close to the polar circle  No ADA stuff...

    Dosing with Ammonia and Urea

I had similar issues with Althernanthera reineckii in a 300l, but in a nano (25l) the stunting disappeared. Both tanks dosed EI and with high light, the large tank lit with 4x39w T5 and the small with 70w Hqi. In my opinion it had to be Co2 related due too more efficient diffusion in the small...
