I really don't know mate, I will be keeping fish in this tank also, just a nice shoal of cardinals. As for the shrimp I will probably start off with some easier one's and see how it goes. What's a good number to introduce in the beginning? I like red cherry shrimp.

I have put some cling film over the top until I can order the plants as someone on another thread advised me to do this to prevent getting loads of dust in the tank. I now have condensation, so should I just take everything out until I get my plants or is this ok?

Right so the gauge is now working however the whoke gauge is now getting sort of frosty which I assume is a leak although I cant gind one anywhere. The plastic washer that goes between the reg and extinguisher is damaged. Could that b causing this?

Tried that, stayed at zero. Gave the gauge a bit of a whack and it went up to about 20 bar and has stayed there since. If it is a faulty gauge does that just mean i wont know when the fe is about to run out or do i need a whole new regulator?

Thanks martin but the gauge is at zero and does not move, it was at 50 before i connected it to the fe, as soon as i opened the fe it went to zero and has stayed there since.

The working pressure gauge goes up when the handle is down, the other one which i assume lets me no how much co2 is left does not move. It was on aroud 50 bar before i first turned it on, it now stays on zero. Thanks for trying to help

Hi, after setting up my fe to test that everything was working ok one of the gauges went from 50 bar to zero. I assumed this would mean that the extinguisher was empty but it is brand new so is obviously not. Any ideas ?

I have literally just set mine up on a fe. I know nothing about this sort of thing but it is really well made and is working on a up inline. The needle valve goes from one bubble every couple of seconds to loads of bubbles and seems fairly responsive to me although I cant compare it to anything...

Sorted now, I didn't realise you could turn the solenoid round so when I originally tried to put it on the solenoid was in the way and touching the fe. I twisted it round so it is no longer in the way. I doubt this thread makes any sense to anyone, including me lol!
