ive been trying the same technique, around 1-2ml on a surface of approx 2"x3" and i have not noticed any change since a week of doing it.

    a few issues..

Hi guys, only me again  Im starting to belive this is all to the diffuser, everything else is pukka, well what i think anyway, i will get you a picture soon so you can see where the flow is going to and from to see if its adequete... I was thinking about maybe just switching to...

    a few issues..

yes, but how will that help? it would be hard for anyone to pick out faults by looking at the position of the inlets/outlets  ive been re-positioning the drop checker again guys, and it seems to be yellow up the top, underneath the lily that the co2 is being diffused from, shall i aim...

    a few issues..

yea, ive done that now.. placed the lily on the back wall, far left, its pointing at an angle right at the large stone with the BBA, its actually really good, becuase the rock splits the flow, ive now got 2 lots coming off towards each front corner, have to see how it goes..

    a few issues..

well, obviously i am worried about the algae on the moss, which i am spot dosing, however, on the rock, where i am not, its looking exactly how it turned last time, when the rock gets covered, and it looks disgusting, i think i may try and re position one of my lilys.

    a few issues..

Hello again guys, the hair algae is clearing up on the plants, very minimal ammount now :) however the BBA is still growing, a little on the moss, and the majority on the centre stone of my tank :? Im starting to get fed up with it now, as i cant see what im doing wrong, any ideas?

Everything seems to be more stable now im keeping the co2 on 24/7, so thanks, Dan! :D hopefully the algae will clear up soon.

Hi mate, yes i have done that already, and will continue, i think everything should be ok now, only time will tell :)

    a few issues..

I think ive got it, leaving co2 on all the time, it makes much more sense, and ive just moved my drop checker around, its reading the same all over, so im just going to carry on as i am, and see in a couple of weeks. thanks

    a few issues..

ok, cheers mate, i think im going to take a couple of days re-positioning the drop checker, then. To see how even everything is. thanks again.

    a few issues..

Ok, i have cancelled the order for the solenoid.
  15. AdAndrews

    a few issues..

well, as it happens, my solenoid broke a couple of days ago, and the first day(obviously i was unaware) it carried the drop checker to yellow, and killed some of my smaller fish, ive just this second ordered a new one.. :?

    a few issues..

Hi guys, yet again, the dreaded hair algae and BBA combo has hit me.. co2 comes on 3 hours before lights, and drop checker is lime green at lights on, and throughout the photoperiod. tank: 35llitres filtration: ttex600-600lph, slowed down by in-line diffuser, and glassware circulation: 1200lph...

Algae Problem or lack of ferts?

Im into ease aswell, i use TPN+ and Easycarbo, nothing simpler than measuring 2ml out with a seringe everyday :) what you can do aswell is make your own tpn+, if you have a little time, follow JamesC's all in one solution, its much cheaper in the long run.

Green water in tank with filter being cycled

Its algae, yes probably caused by the soil that triggered it when it leached ammonia, if it is algae(stand by for further confirmation), if so you need to up your fert dosing, or lessen your lights, i would also perform a couple of water changes also. good luck

    Various problems

honestly mate, imo you cant overfilter, if there were to be an overfiltered tank it would have to be ridiculous, as in 1200lph filter on a 20 litre tank, mine is great how i have it.. ive turned the external pump down a little, prob 1/3 and i have swopped over the in-line heater, so that will...
  20. AdAndrews

    Various problems

The pump is tbh as quite that i think any pump will get with a 1200lph motor on it, so im pretty pleased with it.. no i havnt got the lily pipes yet, im not made of money
  21. AdAndrews

    Various problems

I have added an external pump for circulation, and put my heater on that line so the filter only has the in-line diffuser running through it, which has increased the flow from that aswell... However i have just thought of something, my in-line diffuser, due to the fact i have never cleaned this...

    possible clearer algaue info.

At what point does a tank become a planted tank? how much plant mass is needed?
  23. AdAndrews

    Various problems

yea, the DC has been re-filled. cheers
  24. AdAndrews

    Various problems

ok, so i have tested the co2 in a different area of the tank using my drop checker, and it is yellow too, although i have noticed that my flow is very very poor, probably due to filthy filter media, which will we cleaned tommorrow, and i have reduced the light to 1x11w, thanks for your help...
  25. AdAndrews

    Various problems

no, havnt been dosing more ae carbon with water changes, so will start that, and my inline diffuser is located on the filter out.
  26. AdAndrews

    Various problems

yea its 4dkh in there, co2 is really really high, i have turned it up since i have changed to the in-line diffuser, and before then when i was running a bubble counter it was doing ridiculous bps like 6-8
  27. AdAndrews

    Various problems

light is by 2x11w arc pods. and filtration is by 1x ttex600, although the nano set of lily pipes i have on them probably restrict the flow. my water changes are usually done at night when co2 is on and so are lights, so that may be my problem then, although, i havnt done a water change for 2...

    Various problems

Hi all, i wouldnt usually so this without researching first but ive got the flu, anyways i have a good few different types of algaer in my nano: green hair BBA and a black-ish branchy type one. my co2 is high high, and drop checker reads yellow i dose 2ml tpn+, 1l pottassium phosphate daily...
