Is there co2 tubing, and then co2 tubing?

I currently have the sera co2 hose from tgm, but, i think its surely not the right thing, its too silicone like, exactly like air hose in my eyes. I did used to have some stronger, more plastic based, marked up as "co2 proof" hose, which, i think, i should never have got rid of(dont ask). is...

    lunapet solenoid sticking

ok, the thing is, why wouldnt it stick when not connecting it to the co2? i can hear the magnets being pulled apart/together when i'm just sticking it into the plug and not connecting the co2 line to it, i though maybe its to do with the pressure of the co2...?
  21. AdAndrews

    lunapet solenoid sticking

    thanks.

    Liquid C02

Like matt said, they are all the same, although some are a little bit more concentrated than others aparently, Aqua essentials own brand doesnt need the same dosing ammount as easycarbo, plus the price difference in the two, i'd be going for the aqua essential brand, if you are buying something...

    DIY CO2

with DIY co2, you cant, its very unstable, thats why many of us use pressurized, or liquid carbon, imo, even a liquid carbon would be more beneficial than the DIY method.
  32. AdAndrews

would you connect inline diffuser/reactor to a...

the canister with the faster flow could distribute the bubbles more evenly, but on a second thought, it may be better with the lower canister so that the co2 has a chance to mix with the water a little more. Im not sure, i'd probably go with the faster canister though.

    Boyu in-line diffuser help

Hi guys, ive been listening to my boyu diffuser- sad i know  anyways, what does yours sound like, sometimes, mine sounds like in-consistent, like one second bubbles are coming through faster, the next slower, and then repeated, like up down up down. is it broken?
  35. AdAndrews

which inexpensive check valve would you recommend?

yea, its either these slightly more ones, that are usually metal and have no moving parts, as is my aquarium gardening check valve, or the cheaper plastic ones, tbh i would spend the extra.
  36. AdAndrews

which inexpensive check valve would you recommend?

  44. AdAndrews

securing pipe into a glass drop counter/diffuser

the fitting is tight enough, there shouldnt really be that much pressure to be able to force it off. diffuser "inlets" are always 1mm bigger than the co2 tubing.
  45. AdAndrews

Is possible to connect pressurised CO2 setup to the filter?

that one sure does look better than the boyu one as the boyu one doesnt have the plastic nuts to tighten the grip between co2 tubing and the diffuser or from the filter tubing.

    Change to disposable?

ive ordered the reg now... when the bottle gets low, will the pressure drop?, thats what i dont want, i dont want to have like one day fine, and then the next the co2 being diffused is less becuase of less pressure, before it runs out, if you know what i mean.. im at home fairly often now-a-days...

  48. AdAndrews

Is possible to connect pressurised CO2 setup to the filter?

the ebay diffuser is, whats called, in-line, your water coming out of your filter attatches to it, and then there will be another pipe opposite that connecting, carrying the flow and completing the link to your tank, the other tube that is attatched is the co2 tubing, whats bringing the co2 into...

    pressurized co2 causing NITRITE?

The filter was running for nearly 6 weeks in a stocked tank before i moved it over when i planted and filled.. and then its been 3 weeks yesterday, but with nothing in it to "cycle" it, do i need to put some fish in to provide some ammonia, or buy a bottle and put a little in, or just wait?
