    Two’s a crowd…..

Hello, no the soil was Tropica soil and it rarely got additional fertilisers. I used the apt line when I did fertilise. Cheerio.

    Two’s a crowd…..

Thank you. Not really 🤷🏼‍♂️ they are only e line lights though and they max at 85% intensity for only 2 hrs of the photoperiod so the lighting intensity isn’t that high. If they were brighter then it would be more of an issue I’m sure. Thanks 🙏🏻 From the front a few days after trimming...

    Two’s a crowd…..

Thank you. It has evolved along the way but this topiary style of trimming really works with the shapes of the rhino stone. Current view tonight…. Cheerio,

    Two’s a crowd…..

Thanks Paulo. I always plant some cut tops back into the bush. That way the cut stems still maintain a mature look. That’s about all I can say :)

    Two’s a crowd…..

Hi, @George Farmer was doing a workshop at my local @Horizon Aquatics a couple of weeks ago and stopped by for a quick chat and run around of the home tanks. If anyone is interested in seeing some of the issues I’m having and the tanks he has a YouTube video out linked below :) Cheerio, Ady

    Two’s a crowd…..

Ha yeah, it is really, I’ve got fish art and an image of my previous tank. I’ll be adding to the pictures with more images of my scapes…. Yeah love the rocks, great shape, colour and texture. Haven’t created a journal yet….. thanks Garuf, I think if I were to do that I’d need to add another...

Hi, thanks, it’s an ADA lightscreen with blue to white graded film. cheers, I think the lightscreen helps with that effect.

    Two’s a crowd…..

Hi, thought I would share my most recent scape. I didn’t have a name for it as I haven’t done a journal so thought of one fast…..I guess with only two main stones  it doesn’t conform so in this instance, ‘two’s a crowd’…. This was supposed to be a fill in scape (hence no journal) but it has...

    First time tank!

Well done. Excellent plant growth. Only thing I would change is the front most branch bring a little close to the front glass looks a little unnatural and will make maintenance a little tricky. One thing I know for sure, this is a lovely planted tank, let alone a first planted tank

    My first attempt

I agree, a very nice looking tank, and very good for a first scape  Perhaps the new tall elecharis sp. or vivipara would have suited better than the vallis though....easily trimmed to shape around the rocks and smaller leaf blade structure. Cheerio, Ady.

    ADA Video - WOW!

im gonna stop, it just doesnt make sense. I appreciate the fundamentals, but tanks such as these and many others seem to simply defy all logic in that sense, i suppose thats where experience and 'magic' come into play!....or perhaps its sheer volume acts in many ways like the shallow low techs...

    Deleted thread

Hi, Tank looks great :) Maybe add more brown crypts at the base of the wood pieces to transition nicely with the hardscape and green plants whilst adding a bit of colour variety. Maybe also try using some smaller floating plants as I tend to get drawn to them rather than what's below! Like I...

Hi Delta, You can still access the journal ( Fluval Studio 900...'Dragons Crypt' Journal finished. | UK Aquatic Plant Society ) although the tank has had a few different looks since Dragons Crypt. 'Heteropoda's Throne' IAPLC #463

Yeah i know what you mean...no pun intended! If you look at the stone formation as a whole it appears quite central but when broken down into individual rocks it kinda covers all the hot spots. Great looking nano none the less and pristine as are all of your scapes. Cheerio, Ady.

    'Heteropoda's Throne' IAPLC #463

Great choice and use of plants, and does look like a stone throne. As the name suggests, are the shrimp really wild cherry form? Just personal choice, but i think if the 'throne' were slightly more biased to the left or right it would be even more appealing to the eye....it was probably placed...
