A lot of ppl favour plain white or black backgrounds on their scapes. A blue or gradient from blue to white also looks good. If you don't want to opt for a colour a translucent/opaque film that sticks when wet'd is another option, with that you could shine a spot on to the back too, possibly...
I made a cave out of pebbles stuck together with silicon for my community tank. Looks like this.
You could probably put some moss on it to help it blended in.
That's my idea of heaven! I'm into my snowsports, so to live somewhere where is snows in the winter (properly) and is sunny in the summer would be right up my street!

Yeah, normal grade. I have a fair amount so it might not me that easy to dry out. Not sure I have a sieve small enough to allow the sand through but stop the soil. Thanks Tom!
Is there any way of drying out wood that has been collect? Left in an oven for a few hours on an really low heat? Or hanging them over a bonfire in a similar way to drying meat or fish?
