No but I will have a look mate, thanks for that, just want a easy very low maintenance setup so a nano be ideal and that fikters look cool and nice and small.
Hi everyone looking at some nano tanks like shallow and small uns tanks and seems a fe of these filters on YouTube, anyone know if available in UK ?
Was looking at filterless but having something has to he better than nothing.
Thanks dean
I have used biomasters for around 3 year or so and always had spare pre filter sponges what change weekly, cleaned under the tap.
When do a more thorough clean i would clean the mechanical and biological media thats in the main filter body in tank water or the water that was in the filter by...
Hi mate yeah the 850 has been running for a while and seems to be working great its more the aqua rio pipes i am not sure if the jet won't force the water down to substrate level enough as currently have normal style lilly out (aquascaper set) what forces the water down to bottom of the tank...
I love the look of the aqua neo jet and skimmer just worry jet will leave dead zones in my aquascaper 900 with oase 850 as I have traditional lilly pipe now will the jet allow flow to bottom etc anyone using this method ?
Thanks dean

Hi everyone my filter seems to get a lot of detritus even though i wipe down when maintaining every 8 days, does this look normal amount and is there any products that get rid of it as sure i have seen youtube vids where they say a product does this but not sure if just trying to sell there...
Hi everyone hope you are all well, i have recently upgraded to oase 850 and i am using the aquascaper skimmer on the inlet, i have tried a few times over last year with my Biomaster 600 and always struggled with these lilly pipes.
Firstly i have the bottom fully open so not asmuch suction on...
I have heard they are stronger than the 600 but not massively if look at the figures, i keep debating upgrading on my aquascaper 900 as only have a 600 but all tanks in aquarium gardens only have oase 600 and they look amazing, i have the 600 woth a eheim skim in one side for a bit extra flow...
I know hopefully works ok, george had one working on his 1200 so hopefully enought but if not may upgrade to this any idea on release date ?

Hi everyone, i will be in need of some lily pipes soon for the oase 600 so be 16/22 mm any recomdations ?
I already have a eheim skim so was going to use that opposote side to add a bit more flow in the 900 so i can eother use tradition lily pipes what create water movement on surface and...

Yeah the higher the ppi the more fine. So you need a lower ppi , i am going to cut one of the blue stock filter sponges to fit pre filter as they are 15-20 ppi i think and will be perfect as seen done on YouTube.
Swell website is wrong and says highter ppi more course but its other way...
Wow darrel thats a lot to take on and get my head around so thanks for taking time to respond like that.
I understand the purpose of the filter is to oxygenated the water and get as much of the ammonia and nitrites out of the water colum and turn into the less harmful nitrate.
I also get that...
Just got email back from oase and carbon filters are 60ppi so far to fine for pre filter.
If someone can tell me the benefits of having more biological filtration that would be great.
Think i will do what you suggest cut one blue sponge for pre filter then have one blue sponge at bottom then...
Thanks sammy i agree, i have seen videos were they cut one of the origional blue sponges to size for pre filter so i will do that.
What bio media would you recomend and purigen ?
Do you think will help and be good for the aquarium ? As i dont really know the science behind what differnce it...
Hi everyone i currently have a oase 250 thermo on my tank, i am going to make a few changes to my filter i am going to change pre filter sponges to maybe the carbon ones once i find out what ppi they are as want more flow and hopefully help water quality.
I am going to drill more holes on pre...
Hi everyone i have a 45p but get surface film and would love a skimmer but a surface skimmer is visable in the back so would love one on my inlet but i think the aquascaper set looks far to large in this tank.
I seen a set on a forum members jurnal (luis cardosa) as below that look amazing but...
Hi everyone sure this has been discussed a few times but i am purchasing a oase thermo 250 do most people put jnline diffuser on the inlet or the outlet.
I am sure if on outlet more visable bubbles in tank but if i put on the inlet does it create more sound and air bubbles or co2 in the filter...
Is there no uk based companys with nano lily pipes anyone knows of ? I used to have a set but the aquascaper sets are to large.

Cannot decide beetween the aquascaper 900 or 600 and cannot dicide keep the fluval g6 and buy inline heater or just sell amd get the oase with built in heater.
I know the g6 would be...
Yeah thats the thing i know the g6 would be adequate for the 600 but not sure about the 900 and thinking should i but the oase if get a 900 but unsure, is the aquascaper 900 a better looking tank and cabinet with 2 doors etc ? And George says the 900 has a oase thermo 600 in some youtibe vids...
Hi everyone i know there is a few threads about the oase filters i am just after your opinions.

cheers mate might have a look for some media to maybe put around inlet or outlet to slow flow slightly, ebay maybeactually just read I can use the silver lever on the G6 (the one that's cuts off the flow for maintenance) maybe just raise slightly so reduces the flow slightly anyone done this ...
Hi is there such a thing as too much flow ? I have a ada 60p and using a fluval g6 filter as flow is quite large but should this stop any plant growing ? maybe not allow the co2 to settle on leaves just I have seen good growth in the slower flow areas but never heard anyone complaining about to...
You think will be ok here as tight fit though cabinet only in one place but really just makes longer so should be ok 12mm wide and 20 long instead of 16mm internally ?
Thanks Dean
Mostly want one because of the aesthetics as they look better, suppose squeezing pipes is same as reduction from 16mm to 13mm lol don't want to loose much power that's only thing what puts me off reducing size wish I made holes bigger now in cabinet lol think George reduced his to 13mm but...
Hi all I am soon setting up a 60p and have a fluval G6 filter I will be using only thing is I don't want large 17mm lily pipes I antes smaller nano pipes is there any small 17mm lily pipes any one knows of ? was contemplating reducing to 13mm but don't want to loose too much flow and damage the...

on the screen how high up does the triangle go (the flow) also just thourghly looked over and found a very small crack to the right of the screen so going to ask for partial re-fund ran for hours yesterday and didn't leak but right beside screen so guess water doesn't go there but still not...

that's wat i was worried about well going to have to buy some clear tubing as the silver fluval pipes are ugly and going to have to order a 17mm heater and lily pipes  is there anu small 17mm lily pipes you know of what wont look HUGE ?
thanks dean
Hi all I recently purchased a fluval G6 and seems excellent but setting up tank soon so ordering all bits and bobs only thing is it is for a ADA 60p and don't want large 17mm lily pipes on tanks as will looks huge so want Nano ones, I currently have Nano gush lily pipe inlet and waiting for...

It is a high tec tank and if you seen my jurnak I have had nothing but problems with no growth and melt even with huge amounts of co2 pumping into take and only 24w now there is 48w but my flow seems not to good and I had better growth with my gush o-bubble lily pipe and I am thinking if...
Hi everyone I am wondering if anyone has used a spraybar in shallow aquarium don't think I am having much luck with mine, I know they work well in a deeper tank but my tank is only 18cm deep without substrate and its hard to angle without surface movement and loosing co2 I am thinking if getting...
Hi I am having small algae problem and few people said to change lily pipe position, at the min I have them at the front at opposite sides of tank, its a ADA 60f so very shallow and cannot put at rear of tank just at the front so is it best to be side by side or opposite ?
