Well I put these all onto a google map when they first came out and I update it when I change the post so the info is all there. I'm not sure that putting everything on one map is a good idea. For a start the more cluttered the map the more difficult it is to find what you're looking for...

I'm afraid not, the nearest on the list at the moment is Kendel! Try calling your local calor gas depot, they've been quite good for me in Guildford. Alternatively you'll have to turn to your local listings. If you do find anywhere then please do let me know so I can add it to the list. :)

Honestly I don't know. There are different grades of CO2 and the stuff I use is food grade as I have the same cannisters as pubs use, I don't know at what grade it would become fish unsafe. Probably worth searching the CO2 forum and asking there if you don't find anything.

Thanks for that update. If there's no-one else near you on the list then calor gas often sell and replace CO2 cannisters if that's of any help. Otherwise you can try local places which service FE's, though many of them won't just refill, they'll want to do a full service which can be more...

Sorry, if it's not on the list on the first page of this thread then I've not come across one. You can try your local calor gas place, they wont refill a FE but they quite often have cannisters.

Yeah, I was looking at http://openlayers.org/ because then we could have a local copy, with a form that people could fill in... it'd take more work but would give a nicer result I think. lol, it' the weight of the CO2 not the weight of the cannister in total. It may well be like the 3.9Kg ones...

It might be that they don't keep as much stock in as they used to in order to keep costs down. If there's something specific that you want it might be worth emailing them and asking if they can get it for you.

Sorry, mine's only been in a few months and I've been tardy and not done this yet. Others say they just follow the instructions without any problems.

I've just got a 3.9kg CO2 cannister from Calor Gas on Slyfield Industrial estate, £15.99 :) All the details are in the Where to get CO2 refills thread

None that have been tried and tested. There is likely to be somewhere you can get them done, have a look through yellow pages and ring round a few places. If you find somewhere then let me know and I'll add it to the list.

mmmm tasty! What do you use to keep yours in? I keep mine in old tights and was going to re-activate it without removing from the bag, it seemed to stick to everything when I was putting it in!

Jeff, is the Guildford one any good for fish? I'm on the lookout for some new fish but since I'm going to be ferried about by friends I thought I'd try and get some research done on where to go so I don't end up dragging them to stores which are no good!

Does anyone have any shops they can recommend in the Guildford area? I've had a look on the PFK listings and there are a few about but wondered if anyone has any experience with any of them.

I've used the living seas several times and found them to be good value. Delivery can often take quite a while though.
