That's a bit of a project!
Squared ends can be bashed with a hammer.....thinner root ends can be paired down with a Stanely/Utility knife!

Hi
I love Mopani wood......use it!
Free tea coloured water. Im sure the Cardinal Tetras will love it......;)
Nothing nicer than Java Moss growing on Mopani.
Hi
You will probably find it's very cloudy with dust/detritus even when being ultra-cautious re-using the soil.
You could try filtering the detritus out in the tank!
Using a large hob filter packed with fine filter floss and multiple water changes!
You just have to stir it up like a big pot of...
Power washer would be my choice!
If not available, manual labour...with various tools and implements!
2 Large buckets
Wire brush/Small toothbrush/Old screwdriver/Wooden Skewer!
Copious amounts of beer🍻 or tea☕;)
Hi Stefan

Why?
Quote>>>>>Dosing as i calculate in a butterfly calculator for 370l water value.
Just dose for your required aquarium volume...don't worry about water displacement due to substrate/hardscape.
Firstly....if your content...
Nice wood Andrew:thumbup:
I would turn the whole platform to the front!
With the taller pieces at the back....the two taller branches tend to draw your eyes up to the lighting unit!

There is some lovely Crypts out there especially the rare ones.
These both go well with wood.

Black Beard/Brush Algae!
Description

Hi Michael
Are you re-cycling plants from your Nature style aquascape?
If not....here is my suggestions!
Nice first natural style tank:thumbup: Michael.
I like the first hardscape! Shifting it to the right will give it a more decentred look.....add a few smaller stone fragments to the bottom...
Hi
That's indeed the correct approach....purchase some plants that are dual purpose that can be used as floating plants!
Below are a few options!

Hi
I would instigate a fertilization regime as soon as possible.....also I suggest adding some floating plants!

George is correct.
Different colours and shades of the same stone will look odd......especially in a lightly planted tank.
It would be best to try and arrange them grading from dark to light or vice versa ...within the scape.

Hi Nat
I've had wood from Tom a couple of times....it would be best picking a photo in the link asking for something similar say........ in photo 10 if sold.
Tom as thousands of pieces...so it would be a mighty task to take photographs of them all.
Tom will also cut a piece into 2 or 3 but you...
Hi
Ive never tried attaching piece's of Manzanita wood together with screws but Ive found on smaller pieces it gets very soft and easily workable with a craft/stanley knife...after its been submerged for a few days.
Darrel, was correct doweling the wood can be a better proposition....you don't...

Have nice xmas
Hi
It should be okay if its completely dry inside...it will float though so you will have to submerge it in water for a period,
till it gets waterlogged and sinks.
hoggie
Hi
I have read that also....I would submerge it in a bucket of water to get it waterlogged for a few weeks to see if it sinks.
You could add some Melafix/Primafix if you have any as its a anti-bacteria med.
This may stop any white fungus appearing....just my tip it could work or may not work...
