Not at all, mines been bought at different stages from different places. I think it makes a scape look allot more natural too... That's how it would be under a river bed any how, I also think that by the time plants are added to a scape it breaks up any colour changes from rocks via the transition.
They are in soak now, so hopefully they will be sorted this time tomorrow - the mrs will be pleased too as she can have her tooth & nail brush back... As she was wondering where they had gone ;)
Nice one George... That sounds easy enough... I think I'll give that a go - I was going to get the jet wash out, but looking at the black cloud above I think I'll give it a miss.
Yes I did think about that... Think that maybe the best bet, as I'd be worrying too much if I was to soak them in something and it end up harming fish when back in the tank.
I need to clean up my mini landscape rock and have quite a bit! Elbow grease with a nail and scrubbing brush is damm hard and taking forever, is there an easier way?... Maybe soak them in something?
Another tip for hard scape practice is to cut a piece of card board to the same size foot print of your tank and practice out off the tank (even better if you have time to make a 2" high wooden tray to house gravel etc), its easier this way for tweaking things, when you have something near to...
Yes I saw that, but just thought I'd ask on the off chance that someone might of been somewhere and spotted some in store, or even if someone had a bit knocking about - just in the middle of a re-scape so fairly urgent to get a few bits...
Does anyone else know of anywhere else apart from TGM and Aqua Essentials that sell Seiryu Stone / mini landscape rock? I'm based Leicestershire but can mail order if anyone can recommend anywhere? I'm after about 5kg?
Well they both look good, I will be watching what you do on the profile 1000 - love those fish.
Yes I know what you mean about time...my Mrs just raises her eyebrows at me now when its aquarium maintenance time!
