    Hi, I decided to try out a bit of flame moss so went for the 1-2 grow... its arrived looking a bit yellow though! surely this should be a nice green and fresh as a daisy? can't help but think I'm off to a bad start with this variety :thumbdown:

    Don't cover the whole bulb or it will die, try to get just under half of the bulb in the substrate.... Any roots should so get a good grip and hold it in.

    I would put it in a clear jug of near to tank temperature water as you can, in daylight even better - this can be prone to melting during transit, so every little bit helps :thumbup:
