My first thought was, Formby beach north of Liverpool. Its much the same landscape, huge expanse of dunes and thick aged pine forest going into the sea. Its an odd sight, but in some way has its appeal. Pine trees must like the coast. I spent a holiday in Sythonia one of the Greek peninsulas...

I never shoot jpg any more. I did and when comparing it to PS RAW converter, I have much more controle and better results than faffing about with jpg tweeks. It just isnt the same. However, if your a point and shoot type of person, then jpg off the camera can be very rewarding, but i dont think...

I have a Mac, and run photo shop CS3 and photomatix. I tend to do around 90% of my editing in the RAW editor in CS3, its brilliant. Cheers.

Sorry G, missed that question. I did it all on my own through the CS2 RAW editor. I find thats all I need, it does a great job. All I did was fiddle with exposures, contrast, making blacks darker, playing with saturation and color toning. Nothing fancy, just played mate. I love playing with RAW...

No mate your spot on. I increased contrast, vibrancy and then I took saturation to around 30% so i wiped some of the color away, but kept enough to keep it interesting. Very retro mate, thats what I was after. Well spotted. Cheers John,

Stunning fish... We used to breed them in Chester zoo. They bred so much they where in the sumps of the filtration system. Freshly hatched brine shrimp saw them flourish. Nice pictures mate. Over tank flash?

When I worked at the zoo, we would do bat walks around the grounds at night. We would use those bat detectors and spot pips, Doorbentons etc etc. Above the canteen is a huge colonies of pips. AIN'T NATURE BRILLIANT!!! 8)
