You may get different answers to that as some peoples DC's do stay green. The important thing is probably that you do not have too much agitation, ie splashing, as your Co2 will drive off quicker. The main thing to remember is that the changes you make will not fix things overnight, you need...

The DC wont always return to blue overnight. It you have little surface agitation then it may stay green. You can check if the solution is still OK by removing the DC from the tank for an hour. It should go back to more of a blue colour. While you have no livestock you can turn also up the co2...

I'd also lower your tank temperature. I'm sure I've read that a higher temperature can drive off your Co2 quicker - I might be wrong though:)

You say 6 hours lights / Co2 but how long is the Co2 on before the lights start. Are you using a DC to give you an indication of Co2 levels or using a PH pen?

OK. Got some today. It passed the vinegar test as I thought it would as other places are selling it. Will soak it for a few days and then maybe give it a go.

Mark of the places selling it do you read the prices as 0.9Kg of rock for £20+?

Thanks guys. I couldn't find any detailed info or images of people using it in a tank and I haven't seen it for sale in any of the LFS's I use.

A garden centre I use has a small aquatic section and I noticed today they were stocking Moroni rock. A quick google doesn't turn up much on this stuff other than pictures. I can't find anything really related to using it in an aquarium. So is it aquarium safe and has anybody used it?

I had some smaller branches about 12 to 15 inches, no more than an inch wide, and they took about 3 to 4 weeks.

I've used smaller pieces of Oak and they do sink after a while.

The Rotala will be fine a few weeks. Don't blame you not moving the HC.

About 120 degrees I think, not sure what gas mark that is :lol: Some people do leave the bark on. I took mine off as it was eay to remove.

I had bogwood I wanted to get java moss off and I just scrubbed it with the rough side of a kitchen sponge.
