Are you saying your two filters pointing in opposite directions?

How are you measuring your Co2 levels Jim? What's your lighting duration and how far are the lights from your tank (the light looks very bright in your journal but it may just be the pictures)?

I'd half the lighting period straight away. How are you measuring your Co2 and how long are you running your Co2 before lights on? What filter do you have? Are you adding any plant ferts?

It might be down to Co2 / distribution at the lower parts of the tank.

I had the same experience in my concrete water. It's still alive in my low tec but hasn't grown. In the last 3 weeks I've noticed runners and some growth in my hi tec but it has taken its time.

I think you're right Nath, just compared it with some in my shrimp tank. I'm surprised it has survived in the cold. I have enough of it already in my tank if its willow :) I suppose if it went back in a tank you'd have to step the temperature up with it?

I don't know what it is but I'm suffering the same thing and after a while those leaves just seem to turn into a mush. I recently increased my liquid carbon dose and thought it may be related to that?

I get my ferts from APF. They do a starter kit with the mixing bottles provided. I add magnesium to my mix as, from what I see, it is not mentioned in the water report. The hardness is due to calcium. As I'm only a few miles away from you I suspect you are in the same boat.

Maybe you could up your dosing a little? Hopefully somebody with more knowledge will come along and help out here.

Are the Amazon Sword and Wisteria in the same part of the tank?

They have very long roots and pop up anywhere in the tank. I had crypts in my tank but took them all out when I rescaped about 8 months back. I obviously didn't get all of the roots out and now have 6 Crypts that have popped up in various areas of the tank.:facepalm:

You would benefit from the increased flow by adding the other filter but you will still need to increase your CO2 if you remain using the trickle filter. I took mine out and put in an eheim 2078, you don't have to modify the hood to do this. You say your drop checkers report good CO2 levels but...

I have 4 of these on one of my plants. Only one has ever opened, the others remaining closed. Any idea why that is?

There's probably a few people but I seem to remember some posts from a1matt. Hope I don't cause offence to the other experts. :lol:

It is pretty straight forward, you can use cotton thread or fishing line, but not all moss will attach itself. Java moss seems to stick to anything whereas flame moss doesn't. One of the moss experts on here will hopefully be able to expand on this for you.

I have to prune this regularly. I could offer cuttings now my tank is a bit healthier (I did have an algae problem), up until the last few weeks I'd have been a bit embarrassed to. :oops: :lol: Next time I trim I can offer them.

Can anybody tell me what this is please? . It has a thickish stem which you can't see in the photo and grows very quickly. The photo is of the top of the tank.
