First planted tank from Day 1

I thought P@H stocked tropica plants only so although I agree with Hoggie that it doesn't look aquatic I'm surprised it was there in the first place if this is the case.

    tmc signature 60 planted

But your tank is telling you that your lights, ferts and Co2 are not in balance. Tank maintenance is not just changing water. It's about keeping the glass clean, cleaning filter pipes (internal) and the external parts in the tank. Rinsing off the filter media occasionally with tank water...

    tmc signature 60 planted

If I was you George, now you have adjusted the filter outlet, I would take Sacha's advice and do a black out. Then when you restart your tank start with 4 hours lighting with only 1 T5 if possible.

Great tank Steve. I could spend a weekend in that fish market and at those prices wouldn't feel the wrath of the other half when I got home!

Ooooh My First Dedicated Shrimp Nano.

Nothing to add to the current discussion but just wanted to say what a great journal this is, as was your 'my first aquarium'. I really should do a journal next time I start a tank. I always seem to seek advice when it goes wrong as opposed to avoid some of the problems by getting the...

  38. John S

    Frustration

It isn't acceptable and they admit the unit makes a noise. I'd try to go down the full refund road if I were you.
  39. John S

Ross, how are you measuring your CO2 and can you see good circulation of the CO2 bubbles?

    Aqua One AR-850

Not sure what size the hoses are on the JBL. These are when I first did it. It's a but tidier now. and shot from rear
  42. John S

    Aqua One AR-850

You can fit an external without doing any mods to the old filter box. I use Eheim pipes (22/16) and you can fit them through the cut out that the light cable goes through as long as the tank isn't butted up against a wall.

a noob tank "RTFM" trigon corner tank

    Still looking fantastic Jim.
  46. John S

    Aqua One AR-850

The filter probably has air in it. Try gently tipping it from side to side, you should hear the air come out. I'd cut off the bad leaves, they should recover once you get the CO2 right. Your times for lights and CO2 are good starting points.
  47. John S

    Peisaj (landscape)

    Stunning tanks and pictures.
  48. John S

    Aqua One AR-850

I went through similar things with my AR850. You won't regret getting a bigger CO2 system and switching to an external filter. I managed to fiy my external withoutr any mods to the hood which was also a bonus.

    Harry's Mangrove Nano

The Eheim manual for my 2324 says flow can be adjusted by moving the tap on the filter output. It specifically says not to adjust flow on the input side. So I think you'll be ok.

Fluval Studio 900...'Dragons Crypt' Journal finished.

Re: Fluval Studio 900... Inline C02. That's why I like it, I can see the distribution and the flow pattern. As far as misting goes when I first used it the fish became a bit shy for a couple of weeks but then they got used to it. Your tank looks great

    259L bookcase rebirth

Re: 259L bookcase tank - planted up! I'm sure I've read on here that the desired state is lime green at lights on or you've missed the boat as you want maximum CO2 levels when the lights kick in - I think Clive posted this. I don't understand how people get to lime green at light on after...
