Hi all, I got some of the above plant when I was at vivarium,it was emersed Form,it has been doing realy well for the last three weeks,but I just noticed all the leaves are getting little hole in them,would this be due to the plant changing into it's submersed form ?,or is the plant lacking...

I planted the two pots yesterday,I am using it as a background plant so all put in individually,hopefully it will turn out as nice as George lot,I have just 18 w over this 60ltr so let's hope it's enough light John

Hi all,just got myself a couple of pots of the above,i have looked at the tropica site but can,t find the info i want,does anyone know if this plant is treated the same as any other stem plant,cuttings can be planted,is it best to plant individual stem,or bunch them up,i suppose it depends on...

Staurogoyne repens is a tough plant,but to be honest in my opinion you will struggle to grow most plants with a plec in your tank, regards, john.

Hi Barry,i must say mate i think you may have been short changed,i have had the same plant and the bulb didnt look nothing like that,it was brown and not unlike a soft conker but darker,but having said all that i have read that the tubers can vary a lot, regards john.

Hi Andy,i used trim it like any other stem,then as i said i had a long chat with trols anderson (Tropica MD)and he said they found that if cut back low and hard it grows back lower and therefore carpets better,the one thing i did notice was growth was a bit slower bit no die back, regards john.

i would say its due to your blunt scissors,its a case of nothing like the right tools for the job,you get what you pay for and i know they are not cheap but they will last years if you get the ones from TGM or AE your choice, regards john.

Hi just trim it the same as normal and plant the cutting,you should get new growth at the cut in a few days, regards john.

Hi aaronnorth, are you planting it for the first time? if so this is how i did mine, before planting it is best to trim the roots to encourage new growth, then also trim the tops off to about 1/4 of an inch then plant into the substrate you can split the plants into very small portions this way...
