I actually found one of these in my LFS for a fiver! Just missing the lid and the very end of the inlet. BARGAIN :D
I'm also using it for a pico marine. Going to go for a tiny shallow cube I think!
There's some great tips for modding it with its own parts to make a great fuge on nano-reefs.com!
They're basically all the same. The more grooves in the sponge, the more surface area for filtration.
Just get the most simple looking one, that way there's less parts that can break!
Okay mate, what I will do is this..
Use the 60L/h one till I'm permanently home for the summer and I wont plant the tank till then. That way it will be cycled etc when I return, and I'll have some nice mature media. Then I'll buy a better HOB, the 400L/h one you mentioned, and plant it.

I recently acquired an Azoo Mignon filter, the flow says 60L/h.. I was planning to use it on a 30L tank.
Im wondering whether to leave the 30L lying idle until I find more powerful filtration for it.. Or to take a chance and use it ?
Will this be enough flow for a planted tank with some small...
I think it may have been the sponges, this happened my friend before when he wanted to buy cheap sponge to go in his internal. He bought it from tescos as a car wash sponge I think - it was very dense.
About a week later he was getting a funny smell from the sponges when he cleaned the filter...
