Out of interest why is it you want an RO machine? Many members on here would say if it was solely for the purpose of planted tanks RO is an expensive waste of money.

Perhaps you could mention why you want a water purifier? You might find that many people on this forum do not think them necessary, so you may end up not needing one at all. Saving you hassle and money!

I would ask the manufacturers of the tank for their opinion tbh. Thats alot of water and money if a personal opinion was wrong :)

How did you heat the tube? Electrical cable would give a nice firmness inside, interesting. I would have thought that electrical cable, presumably coated in plastic, might bond with the acrylic once heated.

Wow I'm really sorry to hear this. I would never think to get the delivery people to stay while I unwrapped something. I don't know how to fix this, but thought I would share some sympathetic thoughts :(

Thats crazy!!! They didn't even reply to my email. Well they are only £68 from aquatics online with free postage. Fluval 405 is like £100 and so it's still much much cheaper!

Just checked and they will deliver to switzerland, plus they take off VAT which makes it much cheaper, not sure how much postage will be though as you need to enter your address.

For getting water out of the tank I would have thought gravity is fine, just get a big hose and prime - making sure the end is out in the garden. Just make sure the end of the hose in the tank is sellotaped at around the halfway mark or whatever. Its getting the stuff back in thats the problem...

Juwel says you need to put it on a level surface. But yes they do have little plastic feet (the rekord range at least).

Can you not put a layer of polystyrene on the floor? So that compresses accordingly like clearseal advises for their tanks?
