[IWAGUMI] My First Iwagumi - Juwel Rio 125 (THE END)

Saw this tank last weekend, it's looking really good with a Staurogyne carpet. The blyxa has had a massive trim as well. I must admit I was a little distracted playing with the dogs though ;)

Re: Andyh's 190l Lounge tank. (now with ADA Solar 1) Hi Andy, Really love this tank, looking good. I <3 the electric blue rams so much  How do you find them? Are they pretty hardy or skittish? Where did you get them from?

From hell to heaven - I hope! (28L)

I think one key aspect that will help is sense of scale. Small tanks require small leaved plants to help it look bigger. Your plants are quite big leaved. I haven't ever got the aquascaping thing down tbh. I expert in tanks I don't have to do much to lol. Currently only got one marine tank...

    My Shrimp tank!

Cool :) Does the filter not have somewhere you can adjust the flow? If not you could fill the filter with the floss and then a little bit of foam to stop the impeller getting tangled up in floss.
  13. Lisa_Perry75

    My Shrimp tank!

Sound good :) Where does the flow come out of the filter? I can't quite figure it out! Maybe you could do a quick step-by-step guide on how you DIY'ed your filter? (If you have already done this then sorry I haven't seen it lol)

    Aquascaping for dummies

The layout of the rocks looks quite nice but I do agree with the others that perhaps you should try to line up some striata on the rocks. The tank is looking good so far and the journal is v. fun to read. Keep up the good work :)

    Sam's 4ft nightmare, I mean journal

Thanks Sam. Sorry to hear things aren't going better for you. Maybe a better substrate might help, that and constant good levels of CO2? Anyhow what do I know, I grow seaweed! Thanks Ed for the info. Surely you could collect the waste and then use it for toilet flushing etc?
  33. Lisa_Perry75

    Sam's 4ft nightmare, I mean journal

Oh and rather than using an RO machine, why don't you try one of those in-line filters with no wastage? It won't be as pure as RO but doesn't need to be for freshwater? Btw, can't you plumb it up so the RO wastage goes back into the supply?

  42. Lisa_Perry75

    saintlys "The Henge"

WallichLi! Thats the one. I remember being in the shop trying to pronounce it. Watch out, mine has sent out lots of new growth but has shed lots of the emersed leaves. This could trigger ammonia release and therefore algae. Not that you have to worry about these things your tanks look perfect!
  43. Lisa_Perry75

    saintlys "The Henge"

I think that is rotala windli whatever. I saw some in a maidenhead aquatics. If this is one of the pots from aquafleur that is. I have found they tend to sell plants in their emersed form, which in stem plants can looks rather different. Rotala rotunfolia has roundish leaves which can be red in...

This travels to the tank in AE clear hose to a glass...
