humm... i can see it in my head... i'll try, but i never have extended one so bear with me.... dig the hole next to your current pond, close to the edge as you can, partially fill, over lap the two edges of liner and seal together, then dig out the bit underneath holding it above water level...

believe..it may not be all natural and pretty, but is amazing to see and view the koi !

When i did my first pond, was told go as big as you can as you'll want it bigger! i did, and i did, hence pond 2! is it liner? can lift one side and extend it that way...?

Was really pretty awesome, plastic dome with sponge edge to float.. then use pond vac to suck the air out, it fills with water and guy suggests tempting fish in with food till they get used to it. then to empty (suggested every 3 weeks for cleaning) use tube and suck to siphon water out. Really...

For those whom like Koi...! Was at the BKKS National Koi Show this past weekend. Some really beautiful fish there! Was great fun saw lots of folks i met last year, some i knew already and met some new folk too! (Ed was amongst those i saw too!) Few Piccys!

Love your Pond Dan. Ed's advice is great :) I always tried to go with more filtration the better - can never have enough. My Goldfish pond has a pond mate filter (no way big enough) and a natural plant filter. the Koi pond has a filter homemade from a wheelie bin (can't take credit my dad...

My Koi pond filter is an old wheelie bin, bit of diy and media added, and pondmate pump in' pond. Never an issue. :D

Cheers Matt. Will do. :) we are very lucky as we moved here to run a farm, but with one thing and another stopped, so now the fram buildings and land are used by next farm up (for dairy herd) and we have the gardens etc. So about an acre of just garden for us! So what better to fill it with lol...

and the most recent of this pond. and now pond 2! this one is 6000 gals approx, running a ''home made'' filter set up. mostly koi but few stary goldfish and tench - as we had mini crisis in pond 1. this was only put in earlier this year, and the poor summer we had - hasnt come on as fast...

Thanks, it's grown on lots since those pics (pc went v.slow for min so couldnt get the other pics up) got what ya mean about liner, the nursery needs re-doing as it was kinda rushed. thx for tip. :)
