it's minimal, what carbon takes out the water. heck, I'm running a nano, no ferts no co2, and carbon in the filter and it's flourishing.

I'd personally use the carbon. water clarity comes mainly from a good mature filter ultimately.

not just theory I'm afraid, i've tried it once and never will do it again. firstly, co2 entered my filter....good for a while. left it for a few days.....still good. green drop checker a few days later, thought everything was hunky dory, but noticed blue drop checker....not good. tapped...

I too am using 2 x 1500's on a 350L tank at a MA store. there almost inaudible. the longevity i've still yet to see but i'd use one @ home for sure. :D you can just see them...

personaly, i'd get a number 2. on my 240 litre i've used 2 x no.2's currently got 1 running. go with a 2, it's not as turbulent as people think.

i use it to my advantage, it helps clear any crap on the surface. not unless it makes the sucking noise. just lower it!

john mate, you cant adjust the rate, but actually there's no real need to. they work in a great way. it's not turbulence you get, it's a real nice soft flow(if there's such a thing) if you got 450L and your getting one I'd get the no.2 at least. on my 240L when fully planted i still had the odd...

i had 2 x 2 korolias on my 4 footer. i now have a 1 on the MA scape, a long with a fluval 405. there brilliant things truly!

korolia 2 is 2300L per hour i got 2 :shock: theres not one dead spot everything sways....everything. i tried the 405 on its own in my MA scape. no flow in the foreground. i switched the korolia 1 on and hey presto! forground movement. they are brilliant things. like ed says, just take them...

i added 2 x 2 korolias just the job.for something like a iwagumi with low growing plants 1 would be enough. i've added a no.1 to my MA scape along with a 405 thats in a 3 footer

well i dont actually know. just so i could place them in different parts of the tank. do you think one bigger one would be ok? is the korolia 4 too much with the 2028? the tank is 260 L 120cm long i'm not sure how these korolia things work.

good point, but it is do-able? surely 1 2028 would keep up with a shoal of tetras

heres my question, i'm running 2 filters on my 120cm. 2028 and rena xp2. i want a korolia power head for a dead spot or just to speed up flow in the front of my tank. now this got me thinking....if i got rid of one of my filters and run just one, could i buy say,.... 2 korolias and place them...

i get the same probs with my xp 2. i fill mine through the filter inlet hole without taking klid off. do it outside and shake off the excess. connect leave for 2/3 minutes(acording to instruction) switch on. with lilly pipes you cant prime the damn thing. i think this is where the problem lies.

since ive had 2 filters rated at 1050L per hour on my 60L opti white (over the top?....i dont know,) the difference is absalutley amazing. water is so damn clear, and every single leaf in there is algae free even the slow growers. had signs on my anubias but extra flow, lower lighting high co2...

i would go larger than a 1 litre jug for more accuracy. give yourself a fighting chance at getting a correct measurement.

bit of a guess, but i would get 1 tank bigger than an other side by side. inlet in one out let in other switch on pump some water for a period of time. measure water in small tank,how much water-how much time to pump that water , do maths....hey presto.

hydrogen peroxide dude will rid anything of anything! :D THE green machine sell it. works a treat on my kit. like supercoley1 mention a nylon brush will help.

you can get little plastic ones i think that dont look so bad

defo. i connected without them once and i got water everywhere where the glass lilly pipe came away from the tubing. so yes to anything that helps keep a better connection. mark

i use an xp2 on the henge. there great. very silent. crap to prime with lilly pipes though but when it settles down its fine. mark
