I'm in London but have friends in Brighton so I'm down there quite a bit. Sometimes head to the Witterings to go camping.
They weren't especially colourful so I'd imagine it's pretty much the same as Eastbourne!
I'm about a 20 minute drive away.
Was there yesterday. There's a single Annostomus, various SA cichlids, Discuss, Angels and possibly a few others. No plants just some random bits of bogwood.
But only if you know about this forum can you enter. I'd like to see a UK based one, possibly set up by UKAPS in which international contestants can also take part.
A little. I don't deny the quality of ADA tanks, but that's a hefty price tag!
I do like shallow scapes though, 4 x 1 x 2 is a size I'd like to work with.
If I were scaping for the benefit of my fish, I wouldn't be following Amano's work.
For creating hidey holes, I arrange rocks in such a way that the areas for hiding are facing the back of the tank so it basically just looks like a regular rock pile from the front. No unsightly caverns.
Does anyone know anything about the large tank @ MA in Iver? It's bloody HUGE. Last time I was there they had just finished the stand. It must be 12 x 12 x 4 or something.
So what if it's symmetrical? I think it looks brilliant in the first scape. The whole ethos behind nature aquariums is the complete opposite of appealing to nature, they're manacured, precise and unnatural, symmetry is far from out of place.
