Does high tech necessitate regular water changes?

Yeah I just misunderstood what EI actually was. I usually think of EI as the maximum you need and anything below just becomes......something else.

Does high tech necessitate regular water changes?

I stand corrected. I was under the assumption Mark's dosing was fairly low or at least at a much lower level than regular EI calculations.

Does high tech necessitate regular water changes?

You don't need to use EI it just makes dosing a lot easier. Mark Evans doesn't use EI. You don't have to do large water changes with CO2 per se. Large water changes are needed because of fast plant growth. Yes, injection of CO2 will usually lead to a much faster growth rate but it's the waste...

    C02 Reg not working?

It's been sitting in the shed for a year, just a basic regulator, no dials. I've removed it just to check the FE is full and it lets out a nice healthy blast. What could be wrong with it?

The most important question, how are your plants? If they're growing well, don't worry about the drop checker.

I had the same problem with these bubble counters. I now use the really simple plastic ones... Sure they don't look as nice but they work.

    How tight should regulator be?

Your reg is rated much higher, I'm not sure why it would damage it.

    How tight should regulator be?

Mine's tightened by hand and now I couldn't remove it without a spanner. I must be like super strong to get it on so tight.....yeah, that must be it.

Best Nano CO2 systems on a budget?

viewtopic.php?f=37&t=7696 It's right above this thread but anyway....that's the one! The little nano bottles don't last long at all. Ends up costing too much.
