Excellent Al, really impressive lights with a really nice colour rendition. I actually quite like the light fall off at either end. I like the depth it gives to your scape, highlighting the middle perfectly. They look well made too! Nice one.

My maxspect razor 160w apparently outperforms a 400w halide. With a very similar setup to what you describe. I'd say a rough pound for pound measurement is 3x t5. ..but, par is what matters, and is highly variable, setup to setup. From Maxspect Website:

I'd be with Ian and say low, the Chinese imports and cheap models really do seem to struggle, going by what reviews I've read. Unless its one of the more reputable brands, or an experienced DiY manufacturer, I wouldn't intend to use these on a high tech. Cheers,
