Running the Eheim 4+ 600 (2275) on my 120P for a month now. Later when my old tank is gone all add the eheim 2217 to it (now running on the old tank untill i have sold it...)
But the 2275 is running great. Nice outflow, very quiet, nice filter media capacity, easy in use.
Had the Oase 850T...
hmmm hearing the sound/noice stories all over the internet i think i'll skip this filter for now :( . Tank is located in the living room. So it must be a silence filter here.
Same here. Still looking for a new filter for the coming 120P and i would like to give the 850T a new try (the one i had was returned to the store). But on youtube, fora etc it still doesn't give me a good feeling and the noise/air issues keep popping up :(
In my tank with combination of the eheim 2217 they work perfect :)
Really like them in use. And also very easy to clean because of the simple shapes and parts you can remove.
But with more powerful filters you need to watch out cause the floating part of the skimmer will get sucked down.
Same here with the classic 2217.
Remove it from the cabinet. Using the eheim taps.
Put it on the table/sink. open up the bottom tap and top so the vacuum is gone.
Remove the top en first grid/mesh.
The substrat is inside a filterbag so i can pull it out easy and put it in a bucket with aquarium...
Looking for a new/upgrade filter here for the new tank.
Now still using the eheim classic 2217.
But looking for an upgrade makes you wonder, why all these weird options on filters these days?
Flow bypasses, wifi connections etc.....
I just want a filter that has a good flow, room for...
Thinking if the Eheim professionel 4+ 350T would be a nice addition (combined with the 2217) to add it as an extra filter. Plus it has a build in heater.
Also noticed there are 5+ version but they have much higher prices.
During the period i used the biomaster (with the default in & outflow) air was still trapped inside the canister. Co2 was turned off because i use a aquamedic 1000 reactor and this has a 12/16 connector and i wanted to test the filter first before i reconnected everything . So the tank was...
yeah the 850T went back today. Wasn't happy with the air + noise of the head.
So today time to replace the eheim rotor so the filter can run again deadly silent in the cabinet and living room :)
Almost bought a second 2217. It was now 119 euro......
But i'll first need to wait for some MDF so...
yeah the eheim 2217 is still a great filter. Cleaned it today put all the media back (which i used shortly in the biomaster to test) :P
Still need to replace the rotor. But mabe i can do that tomorrow (if the store is open because of covid rules etc).
After giving the filter a good clean and the...
Planning an upgrade on my current tank to a 120x60x50.
Also will it get a twinstar light and co2 etc.
Currently having a Eheim 2217 (and a biomaster 850T which will return to the shop because of the air purging problem and noise).
So i'll go back to Eheim. (sorry oase)
But which model/type...
thanks. i Will first wait for the Oase support before i make changes to the filter and decide if i'll keep it or return it :)
Edit: Big change i'll return this filter and go back to eheim......
Now i need to find a new filter for use on a 120x60x50 tank or a filter in combination with my old...
Now in contact with Oase. Already tried the shaking etc to get air out. But it keeps getting back.
Als noticed something new now when i tried to shake/tilt it 5 minutes ago........... a pretty wet floor......
When tilting the filter forward (so possible air could rise up in the direction of the...
Filter is now outside the cabinet and pipes etc aren't touching it at this moment.
But it's still pretty loud humming compared to my previous eheim. I can clearly hear the filter running.
But it's not the sound of air/water thats moving or creating the humming/sound. Its just the rotor/head...
Now testing it with one sponge less in the pre-filter + moving them apart so small gaps in between are created.
Also need to find a way to reduce the humming. Pretty annoying sound to hear that in the living room.
But it's not the filter bottom housing which is vibrating. It's just the...
Did a upgrade for the tank (and possible uprade to a 120cm tank) to a 850 thermo which will replacing my eheim 2217.
Reason would be the bigger flow, option for internal heater, easier maintenance and the prefilter.
The flow is better compared to my 2217.
Internal heater works + less equipment...
Any tips for some circulation pumps? Do you use any stream pumps in the planted tank? i am thinking to buy a HYDOR KORALIA 2800 or a HYDOR KORALIA 4000. which one will be better for my tank?
my tank is 100x50x50cm 250L
:)
i have an eheim 2217 with the following filter media setup:
- fine (white) filter pad
- eheim substrat
- Blue filter pad
- eheim mech
but sometimes the blue pad is full of dirt. so it needs a clean. but when i remove the substrat it sometimes stick to the blue pad. sometimes i gives the...
1200l/h  that much for a tank this size?
When i tested the 2213 i used the normal eheim outflow (tube with the small holes) and tested it with lily pipe outflow. it will be a iwagumi style tank. the tank is 54L (lets say 50 with the stones in it)
i use a 2217 on my bigger tank.
I am looking for a nice filter for my 60x30x30cm tank. I found the Eheim 2211. Can i use this for my tank? or is it to strong? i owned a 2213 before and it was way to strong for the tank (water was splashing around :P)
any suggestions?
