    LED lighting

Putting an aesthetics of whole system very high in my setups I would never never ever put this ugly black thing over any of my tanks no matter how good it would perform  Arcadia must look for a new product designer. To me it looks worse than cheap chinese lights. Just my opinion guys.

    Cheap metal halide bulbs

Many thanks Ceg. Very detailed as always. The main question was if they grow plants the same. I am used to 6500K so probably thats why it is a bit odd with 8000. I will get 6500 and experiment. And thanks for the link ;)

    Cheap metal halide bulbs

I tried to search them. I found only 5200K or 10000 and more from 150w range. I havent had any experience with halides before. Could anyone recommend any other cheaper alternative? I already have mentioned 8000K halides. Maybe i am just not used yet to the color they give. Was thinking maybe...

    Cheap metal halide bulbs

Hi, i wander if cheap metal halide bulbs from the east will do the same job as more expensive ones. Anyone had any experience to comment on that? Regards...

    Cheap Ebay 11w Lights

Isnt it 11w also? I have been searching for a cheap 18w version of these couple months ago and couldnt source it so ended up buying 11w exactly the same one for a 25l low tech tank. I do like it a lot, you shouldnt be dissapointed

    Lights on Lights off!

Hi again, dont worry about the payment, it will only cost me under 1£. I am using old envelopes and just paying for a large 1 class envelope stamp. There is a 'pay it forward' scheme going in sale/swap section and i got ammania from there. The point of it is that you receive a plant for free...

    Lights on Lights off!

Ye should be fine, the different bps is probably due to different bubble sizes, because according to the average 2kg bottle should give you about 2,5-3 month of gas in 25G and mine is already running for more than 4 :eh: By the way i have some cabomba, higrophila difformis and ammania gracilis...

    Lights on Lights off!

Ok, nice photos. From the plant list i assume the only plant which want more light is alternatera but even for it 3 lamps could be enough, need a more experienced advice here on this one from someone else. Had a quick look through your other posts. for switching to planted, the...

    Lights on Lights off!

Good luck with that  Some photos of your tank might help to give some more advice.

    Lights on Lights off!

Well i think you should wait more than one week to see the results i suppose. Try to reduce the whole lenght of photoperiod as well as recommended before. I dont think you need to reduce to 6 hours honestly if your tank is mature already. I have only theoretical knowledge which is not backed up...

    Lights on Lights off!

Ok, i will try to answer for the first time, correct me if i am wrong about anything. The most important reason you are told to reduce the light is to avoid algae during initial tank startup period gradually increasing it little by little. If your tank is already running succsessfully for some...
