    EI DOSING USING DRY SALTS

Thanks again Clive  Your sound advice is very much appreciated. I checked with Fluidsensoronline.com and I did make a mistake. So...I rang them to find out what I could do. Not only did they make some great suggestions of how I could use it in the garden, but guess what...talk about...

    EI DOSING USING DRY SALTS

Hi Clive, I just received a new stock of NPK and CSM from Fluidsensoronline.com based on your recent helpful advice. I am not sure if I made a mistake on the order, I'll need to check. But I got the KNO3 and the KH2P04 I ordered, I also got a 500g tub of Mg(NO3)2 which is Magnesium Nitrate. I...

    EI DOSING USING DRY SALTS

Thanks very much Clive for taking the time to provide such a detailed answer. I have never thought about obtaining a water report for this area of North Wales. Might be interesting reading and as you rightly pointed out if the stuff is already in the water what's the point of buying and adding...

    EI DOSING USING DRY SALTS

Hi Clive, I have recently mixed up a few liters of EI Solution and have been sorting through what I have got left of my dry powders. This is what I have got left: KSO4 - Potassium Sulphate = 150 g Epsom Salts - MGSO4 = 200 G Sodium Bicarbonate - Na HCO3 =200 g KH2PO4 - Monopotassium Phosphate...

    EI DOSING USING DRY SALTS

Clive, (Aquarium question EI) The question that I have is that I never got any MGSO4 from AE so I have bought a tub of Epsom Salts which says it contains nothing but 100% Magnesium Sulphate. Do I still follow the spoonage in terms of quantities for mixing this in preparation for a 40 us gallon...

I think that you may be right. I will look at sorting this out very shortly. Steve.

    EI DOSING USING DRY SALTS

Thanks very much. I have to give credit to James Flexton who wrote the Article "Many uses of Riccia" I followed his guidelines on cultivating Riccia. I only started out with a small clump about 3 inches across. Following James Flextons guide in his article two weeks later I had enough to cover 6...

    EI DOSING USING DRY SALTS

Thanks Ed, I think I was only keeping the Microsiemens (electrical conductivity / salt content) at around 300 because I was breeding discus at the time. The higher the salt concentration in the water the less success with the eggs hatching etc. Here are some pictures of the Riccia Fluitans in...

Cheers Clive, I think that is exactly what I wanted to hear (re-assurance). I'll probably do the water change next Sunday with tap water. :D p.s. Thanks for the link to the EI sticky.

    EI DOSING USING DRY SALTS

Hi Clive, George, Tom, Ed, I have been using the EI dosing system for a few days now. This morning I have just done a 50% water change using RO water. I added a 100 ml of the dosing mix and 15 ml of the trace element mix. The fish look fine and the plants are beginning to bubble nicely 3 hours...

    EI DOSING USING DRY SALTS

Hi, Can you tell me where the link for "EI Stickies at Barr Report" is. I think I might have missed it somewhere. Thanks. p.s. I have just found the website for the Tom Barr report, which sticky is the one which mentions the "sledgehammer" topic? Thanks.

    EI DOSING USING DRY SALTS

Nope, its definitely Adenosine Tri-Phosphate. In humans it is the rocket fuel which allows us to move very quickly in short bursts. From what I remember it is replenished from our creatine phosphate supply. But lets not get too technical eh!! Cheers, Steve.

    EI DOSING USING DRY SALTS

Thanks Clive, Thorough as ever. I am hoping that the stuff will arrive today or tomorrow. How many doses do you think it takes before there is a noticable difference in things like photosynthesis, pearling etc. I posted something which Ed replied to about CO2 Diffusion which I have since tried...

    EI DOSING USING DRY SALTS

:?: Clive or anyone else who feels they can answer this question. This is just a sort p.s. to my last post really. My question is if all of my wonderful workings out above really only apply if you sign up completely to the 50% water change every week, does that mean then that if I only do 25%...

    EI DOSING USING DRY SALTS

Hi Johnny, Thanks for the info mate. No I don't think :| you'll get slated for helping someone out. As it happens I rang AE to find out when they expect the CSM+ trace elements in and Richard reckons it will be about a fortnight before they have it in again. I did buy all the other dry salts...

    EI DOSING USING DRY SALTS

Hi Clive, Fortunately or unfortunately depending on which way you look at it I had the pleasure of travelling to Bedford from Chester by train and back over the last two days. The reason I mention it because at last it finally gave me time to sit down and read your article (s) on EI dosing and...

    EI DOSING USING DRY SALTS

Thanks Sam and Clive for the info. I looked on the garden direct website. Before I buy can I just confirm that KNO3 is Potassium Nitrate, KH2PO4 is Mono/Potassium Phosphate and K2S04 is Potassium Sulphate? Can't wait to see the effects!! Steve

    EI DOSING USING DRY SALTS

Clive, Just read your post on EI dosing. I will have to read it a few times more to fully get my head around it. Tanks look amazing, slightly jealous. In the meantime just one question, where do you buy all the ingredients from? Thanks, Steve.
