If you're spending £50 on plants, you want to make sure they don't all die. Are you using Co2, liquid carbon or ferts? What is your lighting?

The Repens will be more red and require less light to show its red colour. I only suggest it because I prefer the shape of Palustris.

Alternatively, you could just buy Ludwigia Palustris Red :)

I think Ludwigia Palustris looks nicer than Ludwigia Repens. It's probably my favourite plant.

Hmm I prefer the look of a slightly broader, larger plant like Staurogyne. Exposure on that photo was low- my tank lighting is actually pretty high. Lighting is 56 Watts before reflectors. I think that's about 1.7 WPG?
