Planted Tank - open to sugestion

Any reason you've gone for t8 lights? Why not t5's- more efficient. What sort of set up do you want to have? Have a look at the guides in the aquascaping section. If you want to do a nature style aquarium get hold of Amano's books- really inspirational. Also have a look at the AGA entries and...

    Crypt melt?

I was wondering that as the leaves do look otherwise healthy, but as I ordered 25 plants I didn't think they'd all be incorrect. They also all started off green. Never mind, quite like the brown look, but it does change the colour scheme I was hoping for. Will get pruning. Thanks for the help.

    Crypt melt?

Are these brown leaves a sign of crypt melt and if so should I remove the leaves? These are crypt wendtii green and I got them from greenline about 7 weeks ago. Seemed ok for the first couple of week then gradually turned brown and got loads of GSA on them. Think I’m on top of the GSA problem...

    Poor taiwan, xmas moss growth

Thanks for the prompt reply Got it from Greenline 3 weeks ago now actually. It is tied to some lava rock (taiwan moss pictured) and the flow from the spray bar pretty much hits it first after being deflected from the front so I don't think I can improve that. The temperature has been on the...

    Poor taiwan, xmas moss growth

I've have some taiwan moss and christmas moss in my tank for 2 weeks now and both have pretty much degraded to brown strands. However a clump of pelia has just started showing signs of new growth. Is this the end or is it a case of watch and wait? If it is the end then what did I do wrong-...

    Best moss for moss wall

Would love some if you can spare it. Just set up my tank (in the journals section) not without its hitches unfortunately. Trying out the taiwan and christmas moss, and pelia. I've not started a moss wall yet but would be useful to grow on some moss so I have enough to fill it out. Let me know...

    Best moss for moss wall

Looks really nice. Seen your other posts of the spiky moss- look good too. Just ordered stuff from greenline- quite a good selection of mosses and reasonable prices too. Opted for weeping, taiwan and pelia. Thought I would try out the taiwan moss as I saw that it had been used effectively in...

    Best moss for moss wall

That would be useful thanks. I saw your weeping moss wall, and that's what got me thinking about weeping moss. But a few of the other pictures I've seen have used christmas moss. From the pics christmas moss looks nicer, but would be reluctant to try that first if it's hard to grow. Don't want...

    Best moss for moss wall

What is the best moss for a moss wall? I was thinking about either weeping moss or christmas moss. The latter looks better in photos but I see in the tropica catalogue that it is rated as being difficult to grow.

    Plants from ebay: aquaticmagic

When you say making silly offers do you mean by e-mail and how silly- 50%? Only want to get mosses and perhaps anubias so hopefully should be ok.

    Plants from ebay: aquaticmagic

Did the people who bout multiple items get a discount on postage? E-mailed them and they said they'd knock off 15% which seems a bit low to me considering they can send everything in the same box.

    Plants from ebay: aquaticmagic

Cheers for the feedback. Will probably use them and greenline as probably getting a few other bits and bobs from aquaticmagic as well. Hopefully get a dodgy deal on the postage too.

    Plants from ebay: aquaticmagic

Has anyone bought plants from this shop and if so what are they like? I've seen people have got co2 regulators from them before with good feedback. The prices look good and they even do free postage on some of the plants. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/AquaticMagic_F ... idZ2QQtZkm
