Always been U-KAPS for me, right since the start when the society first sparked into life :)

    Drag/Drop Windows 8

I've used MP3Tag before. It's pretty basic which means it's pretty straightforward. You can batch edit a bunch of MP3s etc... Mp3tag - the universal Tag Editor (ID3v2, MP4, OGG, FLAC, ...) I also use MediaMonekey (free) as my media player, so last time I needed to do a bit of tag editing...

    Drag/Drop Windows 8

Best thing I could suggest is using ID3 tagging software and clean up all of your tags! This is often the issue when it comes to iTunes/Media player etc etc. Things get put all over the place unless your tags are nice and clean.

    Drag/Drop Windows 8

You may need to check your folder sorting options. It may be grouping stuff together, it may be sorting by artist or some other property that you hadn't noticed. Looking at my music folder, currently it's sorted alphabetically by folder name. So if I had "Album1", "Album2", and "Album3" they...

    Drag/Drop Windows 8

What are you using to move stuff about Hogan? Sounds like you're in a music app or something. Normal windows explorer/my computer file browser behaviour wouldn't necessarily allow what you're describing as it would be automatically sorting the folders alphabetically/by date/by size depending on...

    Drag/Drop Windows 8

Depends what you mean by drag and drop, and where you're trying to do it... I'm sitting on a Windows 8 PC, which I work with on a daily basis and I have no issues dragging and dropping stuff, but I'm using a mouse... If you're using it with "touch" then dragging stuff is a bit weird. But even...

    why your user name?

Um, well... I changed recently from SteveUK to just my name. Seems the fashion on UKAPS  Previously gone as DevUK, which was short for Deviant UK which is another name I've used. Deviant comes form my bedroom DJ days, but I shortened it when I joined various fish forums as I didn't want...

Yeah, he's a big softy :) Amazing dog. We have the opportunity to have Bleu as my brother would ideally like to re-home him (he took him in off his Mother-in-law). It was very tempting, even with the £1000 import costs, but I don't think I could give him the full attention and space he needs...

Trying to get on the property ladder.

I'm fortunate to have Parents who were willing to put me up again for a bit while I try and save up. Feels odd being back home when I'm in my early/mid 30's! On the plus side, I have very little actual outgoings, as they refused any sort of rent etc. Unfortunately I went a bit silly last year...

Trying to get on the property ladder.

This will be my first place. It's annoying as I'm no where near ready. I think I've got enough saved for covering solicitors and surveys now, so just the deposit to go!
  19. Steve Smith

Trying to get on the property ladder.

Currently I'm saving towards deposit/costs but I'm browsing properties online regularly. Is it wrong to base my house criteria on aquarium capacity and whether the garden has/can fit a pond? Not sure about my priorities :D

High tech really means lots of light, CO2 and high fertiliser dosage (and high maintenance to go with that with regimented regular weekly/bi-weekly water changes of up to 50%). Low tech is a little more laid back, with lower lighting levels, but also still with CO2 if wanted (but not necessary...

Japanese aquascaping influence and other hobbies

I'm sort of middle of the road on this. I totally disagree with their stance on whaling, yet they seem to have a deep connection with nature. Perhaps it's still that mentality of living off the land which we seem to have lost almost entirely.

Could someone please check my homepage quickly?

Using Chrome, it automatically seems to capitalise the filename to "Pricelistnowavailable.jpg" Trying that in IE8 doesn't work either. You have to remember that web browsers are case sensitive, so you need to put in links and image names exactly as they are including capital letters etc. I'd...

I'm CasaSteve on LFGSS ;) Currently rebuilding my other fixed gear. An old cheap lugged steel frame. Might be reynolds 531, but can't be 100%. I'm looking to replace it at some point, but for now I'm stripping the white powdercoat to raw steel and I'll clear coat it. It's a "beater" anyway...

    New bike advice

Surly Steam Roller is on my list of bikes to own :) I love it! The langster steel may not corner so well due to the clearances of the front wheel to the frame. It's a tight geometry so the cornering will feel a little odd. You'd get used to it though. Does the Fuji come with brakes? I know...

    New bike advice

Yes, with the world economy in the toilet, and the currency rates it affected the level of components on bikes from 2009 onwards. Basically in 2009 you could by the same model as 2008 but with worse components and it cost a lot more. Some bikes jumped a few hundred in price. It's slowly...
