And i got a very nice ADA cabochon ruby from TGM for getting highest in the uk too which was very nice of them :) destined to be 1014 this year as Ive got no sand :lol:

heres a thought for this years entry and how to crop the photo. I noticed above that a lot of the high flyers seem to have cropped the edges of their tanks which I assume removes the reflection of the hardscape. ie below it looks like he's chopped off about 1-2 inches from the edges...

lol, so the coats over head approach worked then dan. And that beer tank. Ian looks just like he did in the hilton only the beer was more expensive!

love those scapes. Would be nice if next your the website had an english version so we can read all the details of the tanks but realise that can be a big ask :) Love the first and second places. The second has got loads of depth the way its arranged :)

As already said we had a great visit. Thanks to TGm for organising and providing the lovely cakes (Yum!) and for andyh for organising it. The tanks were looking great, especially the 80cm which is moss heaven. Good to meet up with everyone, put some usernames to faces and make some new friends...

and its a proper swish hotel at that :) Very nice rooms (apart from my mess in the corner!)

Thats some good questions. Re the plugs we had big problems last year as we didnt really take enough adapters with us. They do use the two pin plug so we were using UK 4 gang extensions onto euro adapters. We also found with the stand being so big that getting power to the corners was a...

how come the entry numbers we were getting were in the 2000's but the confirmed entry is around 1800? do they whittle down the numbers already?

well done dan and james. the tank looks really good, from both sides too which is very hard to get right. Good exposure to get on the BBC too. Ill watch it later as no bbc in work :(

it is a really soft rule. I just ends up that people are afraid to fully publish journals of our scapes. Ive got mine up but to be fair the final image looks really different to the ones already posted in my journal. Studio lighting mixed with MH rules :D Im aiming for 1601 George :lol:

i hope so! I assumed that a lot of people around the world wouldnt know about the uncompressed jpeg size so went with filesize in the end.

a bloody big hammer will do it luis but put the stone in a carrier bag first. I broke a peice in holland for my aquacube but almost deafended myself! on thread ill be photographing mine this week but ive got some bba on my rocks to shift first :(
