Hhhmmm you could be right, sorry about that. When I bought a set just over a year ago eBay was flooded with them, I assumed you'd be able to get them still. I can get you the dims of mine if you'd like so that you could make your own.

The FX6 works perfectly with a Tetratec EX2400 spray bar. Can be bought for around £17 delivered from eBay. That's what I'm using with my FX6 in my 5ft tank.
The flow is amazing and that is pushing the water the full 5ft length of the tank, and not the 2ft front to back.

My 2p, install the Hydor before the diffuser. Hydors have a somewhat sketchy reputation at best for failure rates, although I've not had a problem with mine.

Monster filters aren't they! In my FX6 I'm just using the media that came with it, so just the foam and ceramic noodles. That's it. I've got no pads or anything else, and to be honest I don't need it. The filter pumps so much water that I don't think it necessary, my water is clear enough for me...
Yup!
Buy a Tetratec EX2400 spraybar from eBay.

All you need is the 90° elbow and the spraybar itself, then just throw the rest of the kit on your spares box. That's what I am using with my FX6.

OH = Other half
I would just stick with the 306 ( just don't pack it full of media) and use a spray bar with that along the back wall pointing at the front glass. Then use a Koralia positioned at the end of the spraybar positioned facing front to back again.
This is what I was using in my 240...
Evaporation, that's all it is.
I top up about a litre every other day (everyday during the hot summer months) on my open top 80cm.

Yeah, I did the same with an old Marina S20 HOB filter. I used ceramic noodles in the bottom of it with some cut to size foam at the top. It worked perfectly.
To reduce the flow, just lift up the little flappy lever bit* in between the inlet and outlet pipes on top of the filter. If you have a look you'll notice some little lines there which indicate flow at certain flappy lever bit* positions.
That is probably the worst description in history, but...
Same as mine is that, except mine has a black impeller. Mine was whisper quiet for about a year or so, then developed a loud rattle / vibration. Vaseline, job done. Quiet again.
Today though I think I must of put too much on 'cos the blahblahblahblahblahblahblah thing wouldn't run. Quick clean up and re lube and...
Hi James, I've got an EX700 running on one of my tanks and have had for a couple of years and it's been brilliant. I'm looking to upgrade to an EX1200 on a different tank at the moment.

I'm using a Tetratec EX700 for my 60l, although its actually nearer 45l what with the substrate and hard scape etc etc
I've been using it on this tank for well over a year now and it's more than up to the job.
HOB's are no more intrusive than an external canister. The only part of the filter that can be seen in the tank is the intake, not an intake and outlet / spraybar.
I think the HOB type listed above would be a great solution to your cabinet woes.
Well the atomiser arrived and was fitted yesterday, all working as it should. Few slight issues at first but all sorted now, have decided to give the heater a miss for the time being.
I cleaned my filter 2 weeks ago now, canister was taken out into back garden and the media trays, foam and floss etc were all rinsed in tank water. The canister was then emptied of the water that was in it, cleaned with tank water and media trays etc all placed back. The filter was then filled...
Will I be ok to run both the inline heater and atomiser on the filter inlet pipe, or is it best to run the heater on the outlet and atomiser on the inlet?
