    Moved House - The Restart

Thanks all. I was in a quandry as to what to do with the 700 litre tank on it's own. I have a load of C.Moori fry in there just now and was intending in keeping my adults in there with a few fry but I have recently had requests for Syno Mutipunctatus so the dolphins are back in with the cats...

    Moved House - The Restart

As requested by Paulo, a couple of updated pic on my tanks. This was the way my planted set-up went, the rocks I just threw in before planting and I kind of like where they anded up once the dust settled so they've stayed there: Mid April: Growing in: And a week ago, got a few plants on the...

    Cryptocoryne Riparium

That is an absolutely stunning shot. Must admit - I love the shock of that red but I suppose it does tend to draw your eye in and away from the rest. I should imagine that kept lower it looks much better ?

    My discus tank

Absolutely stunningas it is, but as said above - something to help the transition from the back to the carpet. Maybe some more Pogostemon or some Staurogyne. Or even wood with fern / mixed anubias

    Moved House - The Restart

Re: Moved House - Hello Again Thanks for the welcome back. Yeah, unfortunatley, with the fish dramas, I didn't have the time to get planting it on the weekend I moved it and it melted very fast after I left it floating at the top of a tank. As for the tanks, I had 9 running at the old house...

    Moved House - The Restart

Just thought I'd drop in and say hello again. I moved job last October and was in temp accomodation for 4 months, bought my new house now and set up my latest tank project. Stripped each of my other tanks down bit by bit but then had to do one big move due to timescales. Unfortunately, I...

320l Discus tank, becoming planted !

Wow, is all I can say, that really is coming along well. I am one that does like the effect of the roots coming down, I have it like that on my Malawi tank and the fish seem to appreciate it a lot - I'm sure your Discus do too.

I can only re-iterate the plaudits that everybody else has heaped on you. Looks like a lot of great thought has gone into this set-up & it looks great as a result.

    Superman's Replant - 180l - Crypt's Causeway

    Osaka 155

They are very good looking tanks IMO, you probably need more plant mass in there though. I've got to keep the missus happy too, I've promised to reduce my tanks from 9 to 5 when we move house, what she doesn't realise is that 2 of em are going to be 1000l

320l Discus tank, becoming planted !

Great looking setup and glad you caught the CO2 on time (not as glad as you I'll bet). That's the type of set-up I'd like for a fish room, with a room within a room so that all you see is the fronts of the tanks.

    Jay's new 'scape 120cm

Re: Jay's "The Fobidden Land" ADA entry teaser. Mind you - rules should be checked to make sure they are pertinent. I initially thought it might have been something to do with getting advice from forums, etc but then what stops you from getting everybody round your house and doing...

That's awful, as said the worse thing that could happen, has. I really enjoyed looking in on your hournals to see how things were going so it was a shock when I saw the title had changed. Goody's return to tanks,1st journal, two tanks.

It looks like Hygro Polysperma to be too "Rosanervig". Looks like P@H got a job lot to send round all their stores. As fot the other - I first thought Sag Subulata too, but the roots just don't seem right. Maybe just the picture though.

    Ed's Rio 180

That's a shame Ed, I had a couple of problems with my initial attempts with Apistos. Most of it can come down to the male wanting to breed again, when I did eventually get wrigglers, he helped by spreading them all round the tank !! Good luck with the eggs though and I'm sure after a few goes...

    My first rescape

Yeah - that was a problem with the initial set-up too, there were crypts in there to help but they were just so overwhelmed by the stem plants and HZ that they never came back through. I keep cutting the stems back tight and as said have moved the Lobelia to in front of the H Zost, have also...

    My first rescape

for those that don't know, this was my first effort at a "planted tank" - shot was earlier this year. After a couple of deployments and not being able to keep up with tank maintenance, it ended up like this. Actually it was worse than this (I had ripped all the Glossos out at this point) The...
