That is an absolutely stunning shot. Must admit - I love the shock of that red but I suppose it does tend to draw your eye in and away from the rest. I should imagine that kept lower it looks much better ?

Absolutely stunningas it is, but as said above - something to help the transition from the back to the carpet. Maybe some more Pogostemon or some Staurogyne. Or even wood with fern / mixed anubias

Wow, is all I can say, that really is coming along well. I am one that does like the effect of the roots coming down, I have it like that on my Malawi tank and the fish seem to appreciate it a lot - I'm sure your Discus do too.

I can only re-iterate the plaudits that everybody else has heaped on you. Looks like a lot of great thought has gone into this set-up & it looks great as a result.

Always a shame to rip down a tnk but CPD's seem to love Blyxa, mine can't leave it alone.

They are very good looking tanks IMO, you probably need more plant mass in there though. I've got to keep the missus happy too, I've promised to reduce my tanks from 9 to 5 when we move house, what she doesn't realise is that 2 of em are going to be 1000l :lol:

Looks fantastic as always and really like that rock. As said by some of the others - it really does look great to see a large shoal like that.

That really is coming along fantastic and can only help to get more people interested. I only wish I was closer so I could come and see it in person too.

That's starting to look great Tourney, all coming together nicely.

It says something for your skills that even when half stripped down you can still show off a tank that many would die to have.

Great looking setup and glad you caught the CO2 on time (not as glad as you I'll bet). That's the type of set-up I'd like for a fish room, with a room within a room so that all you see is the fronts of the tanks.

Looking good and some good growth going on in there too.

It looks like Hygro Polysperma to be too "Rosanervig". Looks like P@H got a job lot to send round all their stores. As fot the other - I first thought Sag Subulata too, but the roots just don't seem right. Maybe just the picture though.

That's a shame Ed, I had a couple of problems with my initial attempts with Apistos. Most of it can come down to the male wanting to breed again, when I did eventually get wrigglers, he helped by spreading them all round the tank !! Good luck with the eggs though and I'm sure after a few goes...

Yeah - that was a problem with the initial set-up too, there were crypts in there to help but they were just so overwhelmed by the stem plants and HZ that they never came back through. I keep cutting the stems back tight and as said have moved the Lobelia to in front of the H Zost, have also...

You've got some good growth in there. Yes most cichlids will dig, so until then ground cover plants will be no (as you already know)
