The tank is coming along very nicely, plants and fish looking really healthy. I have nerite snails, they are great at tank cleaning and have great patterns, plus they are cheap to buy from LFS or eBay. Did you end up adding shrimp?

DS all your pics have gone :( I have Beams Work Evo, it said it comes with moonlight settings but all it was was a switch to turn them from 10 LEDs to 3, not what I was expecting.... What do you think of the colour of them?

Hey Matt, use a tooth brush on it when doing water changes, it will go after a short period of time. I had it on my wood, it just stopped after 6-8 weeks. How often do you do water changes per week? The tank is coming along nicely, some good growth in places. The issues with ar mini is down to...
I have a fluval 206 (200lph) on my 90L and have great flow, I was running two powerheads as well but it was blowing the tetras all over the place. Ideally I would have a fluval 306 or 406, but the flow is getting CO2 to all parts of the tank. I would suggest a contingency plan of buying one big...
Your tank looks good W, tanks evolve over time, be it natural growth (some plants stronger than other) or through adding and taking away plants due to seeing what someone else has done (I'm always adjusting hard scape and plant locations). Alto is correct, if anything is moved, changed in the...
Hey rabbit,
I would think about volume if you are going for something like the 7 footer, getting good flow from your filters will dictate how big they are and how many you would need. Co2 system will need to be quite substantial so your not always changing the bottles. Fun times mate...

Start with a base layer of aquabasis, I went with a depth of 1-2cm and then topped it of with 3-4 manado. My substrate is slopping so I layered in some places. manado is quite light, have had some trouble getting a few plants to take root, but most have been fine.

He's a nice little centrepiece with great colours, as for keeping more than one male? Some forums i checked said absolute NO and others said it's ok..... You could submit a post under the fish section on this site, im sure you will get some good advise.
From the picture above it looks as...
Big tank Rabbit, due to the length and width of the tank getting a good spred of light will part drive the choice. With the tank only 1ft deep you won't need to have masses of intensity to punch through the water. Hard to suggest what substrate is best, I use JBL aquabasis and manado, cheep...
I can see no reason for it as i have come across people on other forums using it, might give off quite a lot of tannins from the pictures, here are some links:

Hi Nathan.
Disposable CO2 can add up after a while. I have used DIY in the past but it's unstable... so for my current tank i brought a kit from CO2art http://www.co2art.co.uk/collections/complete-co2-systems/products/complete-budget-sodastream-system-for-aquarium-up-to-120l The reason i went...
The reds and purples really stand out under the lights i use (Beamswork green evo LEDs) even though i am having a battle with unwanted snails. They have chomped most of it so it looks terrible at the moment but the assassins are in now and doing a great job :).
What are you planning as far as...
