    Aquamanta dimensions

Thanks for the reply. I wanted to stay away from Fluval if I can though. I've currently got a 304 (I think) and I hate it. It blocks constantly, and the aquastop thing, which means I can't remove each tube independently, is a pain. I could solve this of course with additional taps, but I'm...

    Aquamanta dimensions

Anyone got the dimensions of the MA Aquamanta range? Can't seem to find them anywhere. I've got a 90cm tank, with a volume of 160l. I really want a Tetratec EX1200, but can't fit it in my cupboard. The space is 26cm wide and 51cm high - which is pretty much exactly the same size as the 1200...

    Eheim Compact pumps

I like carrying buckets of water around and holding them up above the tanks. It's cheaper than going to the gym  Actually, I'm lying. I just haven't given enough thought as to how to make it easier!

    Spray bar and flow

I put a spray bar along the back of my tank but found the flow a bit too strong so I widened the holes with a slightly larger drill bit. It's still a bit strong for my liking but I plan to extend the tube as well which should make it more acceptable. I bought some tubing from "fish, fur and...

    Lily type outlet

Is it possible to buy a clear plastic lily type outlet rather than a glass one? Due to the shape of my tank and the bracing round the edge I'm not sure a 'proper' lily pipe would fit and I don't want to spend the money to find I can't use it. Alternatively, a lily type outlet that fits over my...

Water flow in the planted aquarium?

I've found a good technique is to siphon off the debris from the stems so that the stem actually gets sucked up the tube. Obviously the diameter of the tube needs to be big enough and the flow not too strong. Also not a good idea if they've been newly planted! Raising the bucket off the floor...

    Filter Flow and Reduction.

Surely a UV needs quite a slow throughput so the light has time to do its thing? Maybe that's why they have right angle inputs.

Water flow in the planted aquarium?

Just found this: http://www.fishfurfeather.com/fff-rigid ... -4185.html In short, 1m of 16mm grey pipe for 73p. Needs some holes drilling though.....

Water flow in the planted aquarium?

Do B&Q and the like sell 12mm and 16mm tubing for general purpose plumbing use? Eheim and Fluval seem to charge an awful lot for bits of plastic tube.

    Anyone got one of these?

The inlet slots look very small. I'd imagine they'd reduce the flow through the filter quite significantly. I don't know how they compare with the ADA ones though - are they the same/similar?

    External for 70L planted tank

Telephone cable?!! Can you change the temperature of the tank from your mobile phone?!

    External for 70L planted tank

The problem with 'good' flow though is that it tend to move sand substrate around. Over a few days I find my silver sand creating hills in the corners!

    Elbows

I know the ones. What I meant though were plumbing pieces for the water to flow through. I find those fluval ones a real pain to use. I like my Fluval filter but I hate the tubing! I might look into replacing it at some point.

    Elbows

Is it possible to buy elbows and connecting pieces for eheim (12mm) tubes? I'd like to redirect my eheim outflow but the outflow pipe doesn't want to stay where I put it due to the pressure on the tubing behind the tank.
