That's one hell of a big tank. You can use either T5 or MH or both I guessed. It realy depends on what type of plants you want to keep in there but 8xT5 should be sufficient for most plants even the slightly difficult one.
I think this concept is quite common in the far east where big companies or wealthy people will hire experienced aquarist to setup display tank for them and expect them to keep up with the maintanence.
Try aquatic quotient. It's a Singapore based forum. Arofanatic os another good one but these website are not purely directed at planted tank. Cau-aqua is a nice planted tank website though
Found it in a shrimp seller photobucket profile. His username is Gabeszone and was quite well known a few years back as he was selling good quality high grade CRS all throughout the world from japan by post. He's since then given up on breeding just CRS and went back to keeping shrimp for hobby...
Yeah Rick was there. He even visited green chapter and that guy in the shop were like "why did you came 2-3 days after the aquarama? Did you get the date wrong?" to me...
Well it's an irony considering prad and steve brought most of the stuff to matt's place. If we had judge it ourself, prad would have ended up taking the "price" home i.e. his own stuff. lol
To think that I was brought up in places like that but failed to appreciate it's beauty. Missed those time when I cycle to the nearest waterfall, pick up dried tree branches and start a fire and BBQ my own special recipe marinated fish. Missed those good old days.
There is a dwarf water lettuce plant. It's exactly like the normal water lettuce and doesn't grow any bigger even if you grow it outside under the sun during mid summer time.

I'd say skip the air pump and increase the flow with koralia or another external filter. Where about do you lived? If you are in the UK, are you trying to get lighting unit from America?
Substrate wise, I'm assuming you'll be using 2 bag of fluorite and 1 1.5kg of API laterite for your tank...
i don't use any dechlor. I knew someone who raised discus for a living and he's been raising his fish with normal heated tap water. He does a lot of import discus too. Own quite an extensive amount of tank (somewhere along the line of 500 tanks) and claimed that never suffer any problems with...
Haha fossolippid bilayer. Nice one. Just to let others who might be confused as to what that is, it's meant to be phospholipid bilayer. The basic component to every cell intergrity.
I've got a tank about the same size as yours too but I find that 2x 24w is insufficient as my tank is 18" tall. The wpg works out to be 3wpg but only the tall plants starts pearling when they were close to the light. mid ground and foreground plant won't pearl at all. Looking at the CAU website...
oh that's fine. I can translate from mandarin to english no prob. I thought you wanted it the other way round. Just copy and paste what ever you want to know and I'll try to translate it ASAP.
what's CAU? I don't mind doing some translation but it's been a while since I write anything in mandarin. I have no problem in casual conversation but putting them in a presentable form for public viewing might be difficult.... Imagining all feedback and comments left commented on my grammatical...
yeah same here. I was in constant contact with them prior to them sending my plants caused I have to alter my order. when the plant came through, they simply attach a note saying the plant I wanted was out of stock and sent me some replacement plant that doesn't even seemed to fit in my...
They are very good in answering emails that one I have to be honest. Maybe when it comes to ordering mosses, they are not exactly the generous seller I say. Hopefully they have change for the better.lol
maybe they have change their business method... I bought from them about 2 years ago and I will never buy from them again. The bolbitis was claimed to be 8" high and came out to be no more than 5" tall. 5" square moss turn out to be 5" square yea but with single strands of moss loosely covering...
