Its a lot of light for the volume of water. See if you can raise the light or angle it away from the water surface. You don't need more than 6 hours light per day.

With decent reflectors , you will increase intensity by about 50%. As stated above, you can always add more light as plant mass increases.

I fitted two t5 to my vision 260, using arcadia set. Drill 4 holes in the flaps and off you go.

arcadia do a led clip on, pretty powerful. Tmc mini tile and the fluval led.

the scapers light will grow almost anything.

Try running 2 or 3 tubes.

Ph computers can be a problem. They tend to fluctuate co2 levels. You need a nice , constant co2 injection rate. With good co2 flow - but not a tornado!

Mine are on four hours.

225 w over 360 litres needs good flow and co2. Ph computers can cause issues

i agree with nry. as long as they fit, and are of a colour you like, buy the cheapest. Lampsecs are a good supplier.

depends on how much flow you need. It is fine as a filter to house your friendly bacteria. But plants and high light demand higher flow to circulate the co 2. So, it is fit for original purpose.

jewel internals work fine for what they are. I needed more flow and flexibility so i dumped it. Ugly space invader of a thing. Jewel lights are perfect for most tanks. Internal co2 diffusers work well too, as long as you find a good flow pattern with your filter or powerhead.

if it is the tetra stuff, i stopped using it a while ago. Think mine was the slime coat one though. Unless there is a specific reason to dose extra water conditioner i would not do it.

i run two daylight and one nature. But i prefer all daylight- it just looks brighter. Iquatics sell a range of juwel compatible tubes.

you have light :) just add some minerals and nutrients, via an all in one liquid or buy the starter kit from aquarium plant food UK. Or simply use root tablets.

plants will not grow without food. Light makes plants grow but without food they die. More light will not help. Get some plant food in there.

any pictures? What filtration do you have and do you feed the plants? also is your tank t8 or t5 lights?

yes. any tube will do, white ...warm white etc .

iquatics and lampspecs give good prices on new tubes. do not pay 25£ per tube!
