You talented bar stool.
I must say. I like the symmetry of the head standing and the surface dwellers - pencils?
Lots of elegant motion and the big boy doing patrols.
Excellent.
And then the neons with that arresting flash of colour!
Too.
Damn.
Good.
I was bumbling around, playing with tank dimensions , and I came to the conclusion of a 90 x 90 x 35 cm tank.
Anyway. My point is; do you ever desire more depth than 30 cm?
This tank is ridiculous.
Even more so when you go back and read the first post.
' piles of rotting crap' indeed!
you teach mogwai to watch television!? ayah.
Re: A Chocolate Puddle Now with Chocolates and licorice
i like the thought of you using the plants from Tom, that tank being an inspiration of chocolate puddle. Kind of full circle somehow.
Re: Aquagreen (Planted page 2)
ha! I was going to suggest these green monsters. Mine never stop bickering and are prone to jumping when spooked. love em though
Re: A Chocolate Puddle
oh man- i am going to ma in bracknell to get some then ! thanks dude! my tank is 23 degrees. do i need a male to female ratio?
Re: A Chocolate Puddle
is it a gourami -only tank? i really love the sparkling gourami but they prefer warmer conditions than my microdevario...might have to steal some cyperus off shoots from you when they get bigger!
Re: A Chocolate Puddle
bucket of mud is the reason my 4 foot shallow is now set up. cyperus helferi in flower along with nomophila stricta. so thanks tom and good luck alastair ;)
Re: Tom's Bucket O' Mud - Mass destruction
just re reading your journal. it is great stuff. will go for echinodorus and moisture loving ferns, think the lady fern will be too big though, maybe maidenhair will work with the humid surroundings, draping over the edges of my new (old) brass rimmed...
Re: Tom's Bucket O' Mud - Mass destruction
hope your field trip goes well, this tank is direct inspiration for my next set up, a four foot rectangle for croaking gourami and microdevario, so basically i wanna know the plants you used for the emergent growth.
this tank looks flooded with light. Every detail so clearly Defined. Mark, how much light are you using here. I seem to remember you originally using tubes and switching to mh ? obviously the detail is also a function of your sublime camera skills. Just curious.
Re: 120 x 55 x 55 A new perspective
you state that you employ two filters- i think antipofish asked a question about the the filter pipes- how do you rig it all together?
Re: 120 x 55 x 55 Ripple testing
hey there. any tips on setting up a filter to create such crystal water. i have purigen in my internal filter but want to switch to a larger external. so... how do you do it?
Re: Stu's 90x45x45 Dragon Stone Scape
any advice on creating a mound, will be starting my island this weekend. thinking tight socks filled with sand and rocks to prevent slipping.
Re: Stu's 90x45x45 Dragon Stone Scape
the wood, specifically the horizontal straight section on the left - will you leave it exposed, free floating over the hardscape?
