Ok. So I'll swap my tubing out for proper stuff.
Diffuser is fine but will keep an eye on it at, so when my reg isn't on the 2.5 bar figure should rise ?
Have just connected up my freshly refilled FE to my reg and one gauge flies upto 60 bar and the other one upto 3 bar,
Now I assume that the 56 bar is the overall bottle pressure and the other gauge is ??
My query is the gauge with the smaller reading has dropped from over 3 bar to closer to 2...
Went to my local MA today and asked about a cheap diffuser to tide me over til I could get an inline one and walked out with a external reactor. Looks good so am looking forward to seeing it working.
So tomorrow I'm gonna hook it all up.
Could someone post up a diagram of the running order...
Mine is either the 300 fx or the 400 fx so maybe my measuring skills leave alot to be desired....
Its standard pipe work so will be the same as yours Im sure.
Thanks for the reply.
I have a Aqua manta 300 external running on my tank.
The pipe work is roughly 25mm in diameter (internal) and before I buy a upinline diffuser has anyone got any experience of how much give is in the fittings as in will it stretch to fit the pipes.
Any advice will be greatly received.
Becasue of the way my inline diffuser is sat if the co2 pipe is disconnected from the bottle I get a constant drip of water come out of the tube.
Obviously the co2 gas pushes the water out when its connected but Im worried about it at night when I'm gonna turn it off will the water actually go...
Fitted a 17mm inline diffuser and my new super duper big gas bottle and everything seems hunky dory but was thinking when it comes time to clean the diffuser I will have to take the filter tubing apart and leave my filter off.
Does anywhere sell connectors for filter tubing that can bridge the...
Oh, I see!!
I told her it was a present for her and she shouldnt look in the cupboard.
She has got use to my obsession for my tank and knows she comes in second place compared to it!!
Just sent dad to the local Calor gas place and he's returned with a 3foot high c02 beer gas cannistor thingy.
20 quid for as long as I want it, take it back and they will refil it without renting the bottle etc.
Thats cool and my reg fits it perectly, just need to sneak it in the house...
Just phoned the guy who filled my last one and he is gonna sort me out with a bottle that goes in vending machines and is about 3.5kg that will last for ages according to him so am off to see him next week!!! It needs a bit of tampering and testing but it will fit my reg, very knowledgable guy...
My C02 has just ran out and its pig to get refilled as the place that does it is miles away, I may go down the route of a FE off of eBay but not sure whether my reg will fit.
Are they all universal ? My dennerlee bottle is the biggest one you can get so guess it should.
Ive moved mine underneath the intake of my filter ( ex1200 external ) and whilst it does a fantastic job of spreading the co2 Im worried about getting a build up of c02 in the cannister as every once and a while I get a rush of air into the tank which Im guessing is built up c02 thats not...
I used to go 24/7 and found I had really good results, but after killing a Mollie and a white mountain cloud minnow through C02 poisoning I am a bit wary now.
Not really having a great grasp on flow rates etc, would this be suitable for my 55 Gal with a Tetratec ex1200 filter?
Am trying to convince myself this is possibly the way forward after getting fed up with a seemingly huge rhinox 2000 diffuser at the back of my tank shouting look at me...
Would love one of these inline jobs but just cant justify the expense, have looked everywhere for an alternative but cant find one anywhere.
Would get a reactor but they arent that great if you want the minimal look.
It was only six quid so not much lost I guess.
Porr bloke selling the FE is getting fed up with my questions i reckon!!
Thanks for the swift response. Guess a six foot high c02 bottle is a little extreme.
Right, this is what being bored at work and eBay gets you!!
The valve I bought thinking it may fit a fire extinghuiser (sp)
Hopefully attached are pictures of both, Im yet to buy the FE but have bought the regulator.
Any ideas whether it will or not or is it another ebay purchase that will...
Bit a of n00b when it comes to the whole C02 thing but have a nutrafin kit on order and hope to set it up over the weekend. I'm having trouble envisaging a bubble counter that you guys are talking about. Have tried google'ing it but to no avail. Could someone post a piccy pretty please.....
