Hi all :wave: haven't been on here for months! Both my lights went today, so I took apart my juwel unit and checked connections etc and can confirm both lights have gone completely. Where is the best place to buy 2 new ones? I'm after the lowest price possible because money is hard to come by...

I decided to go for the second one. The reason is I only had 18w on my old light and the compact flourescents always broke (I have had 2) so im trying t5s and it is only 2w lower, which im not bothered over because I used to cut back a lot of plants over a 1-2 week basis with 18w.

replacement lamps are about £7 each. Ive ordered 2, so I will post on here what they are like when I get them. They seem a bargain for nano tanks if they are good :D

Hi Whilst I was a member of a marine forum, people used to get these lights and sometimes got errors and there were only good comments about the communication with the sellers so, if I were you, I wouldn't worry :) They look nice lights! If only they did a 30cm one with pc :(

Unfortunately the nearest Maidenhead Aquatics is about 2hrs away. I'll have to try and look for the special torx scre drivers on ebay or look into buying a new light unit if i can find one cheap. Currently a 20 watt halogen desk lamp is over tha tank, the lighting is rubbish and it looks so...

they look like they need alan keys, but in the centre, they have a piece of metal sticking up that stops anything getting into the hole.

On my 40l, my supafish 18w light has blown. I don't knwo if its the unit, but, I can't find any replacement bulbs or light units, and I really don't want to spend a lot of money on some arcadia arc lights. Can anyone help? The tubes are 18 watt PL tubes so I am told.
