    Aquascaper 900 - Comeback Lockdown Tank :)

This poster is an imposter. I don't see any red cherry shrimp. What have you done with the real LD?

    Aquascaper 900 - Comeback Lockdown Tank :)

Wow. Stunning colours. The layout reminds me of your old Australian Rainbow aquascape.

    The Karoo Dream

The tank has had no fish since the last update, and simonis were replaced with blue pearls competition - not deliberately removed. The amanos controlled the problem staghorn algae in the end, but there is now a fair amount of clado now on certain places on the wood that get direct sunlight...

    400 gallon.

Great movement in the tank. Beautiful!

    Mini S Walstad

Did the cherries outcompete the simonis? Also, is there really no filter in here for water motion? A heater? Do you feed it at all?

GHOST TREES 1.0 "Day 55 Post Flood"

Re: GHOST TREES 1.0 "Growing In" It looks similar to one of the mosses I brought back in April. I am pretty sure that's the same one. I got it originally from LondonDragon, and he got it from some trade show in Holland I believe. You will find that it grows everywhere and starts appearing in...

    The Karoo Dream

Hey Ian, 'fraid that those photos are the best close-ups my camera can do. Red-nose do eat Clado and BBA, I don't know if they eat Spiro, thought there was a chance. They aren't available locally anywhere, so in the meantime I added 2 amanos. Will see if they make a dent.

    The Karoo Dream

Updates with photos. The afro moss is filling in nicely. Got a bit of Clado and Spirogyra in it, but will get a red-nose shrimp to take care of it. I am now successfully breeding theodoxus fluviatilis in here. The unfocused dot the glass in front of the driftwood is a baby. Have seen about 4...

Re: *Update Day 26 of Dry Start* ADA 120 Do!aqua Glass Casca This tank is so epic I can barely believe it. The variety of plants and the diversity of aquascaping is truly amazing. can't wait to see it flooded!

    The Karoo Dream

Some more photos Bit of algae on the glass here, but you can really see the Afro moss and the new growth coming off of it. Little blurry, but you get the idea. The don't call it red-root floater for nothing. Apparently, it's the shrimp equivalent of mistletoe Here is the tank with the...

GHOST TREES 1.0 "Day 55 Post Flood"

Re: @60%planted ADA 120 Do!aqua Glass Cascade Journal those mosses on the rocks are looking super natural. since you are doing a dry start, did you chop them up before you placed them on the rocks/wood at all?

Nope, no scrubbing. All the nerites work. I am actually worried now that they won't have much left to eat...

    The Karoo Dream

Mini update. As hoped, the freshwater nerites have destroyed the algae in the tank, you can only see a little bit now on the front glass-figures that they would leave that one spot heh. Unfortunately their shells are corroding because the Ph is only 6.7 and Kh 3. I think two have died because of...

Re: Steve's "getting back on the horse" nano I like the look of that scape steve, and welcome back. One quick comment, I believe that is mini-bolbitis on your wood and not bolbitis difformis. Let us know how it grows for you!

    Fishbeasts 400 LTR Journal (continuation)

Wow that is so cool that you are breeding them. Have you definitely found some little ones in your tank? Need to find me some in Britain, some way, some how. What do you mean that you think ammonia is a problem on your shrimp tank? If you are running a filter it should have cycled within the...

    Fishbeasts 400 LTR Journal (continuation)

Hey Fishbeast I noticed you started posting again. Just curious, did you manage to breed the red-nose shrimps you got from aqua-green? I would be very curious to know how that turned out. Also some new tank pics would be great too. Best.

    Fishbeasts 400 LTR Journal (continuation)

Hiya Fishbeast, Any new developments? If you are still have problems with algae I would recommend big amano shrimps (at 2in probably big enough to avoid predation) or an army of MTS or Ramshorns snails. Considering you have HC the Ramshorns may be a better choice since they don't dig.

    Laputa - Tbro's Nano

Hey T, any news on your Star Moss? Did it make it in the end or melt away? Any suggestions on how to keep it? I have a friend that just bought it and I want to help him keep it alive... Updated journal photos would be loverly too :p
