this is a intresting idea. how slow is it to get to full strenght dan? and how long is the unit, i cant beleive how much light it kicks out for such a short length! :shock: its a beautifull light anyway, i hope you enjoy it :thumbup:

i have a 100cm, 117w version of the 1st option, havent used it yet so cant comment on its main purpose but, i like it for the price and how you can choose if you want it as a halide from the roof or on a bracket and how the bracket is on a hinge so it easy to conduct maintenance.

UPDATE: today i received my replacement brackets after e-mailing them last friday, they sent me a email back saying they would post the new ones on monday. and come wednesday i have received a new pair of brackets :mrgreen: :mrgreen: no free filter medic or light tubes to keep me sweet though...

ok i got ya now :lol: if a part of teh brackets snaps of then plumbers pvc glue is the best for gluing it back on? :)

well they are here! i ordered them on tuesday and they arrived this morning from germany, so quite fast considering the distance. they are 100cm long and 117 watts, can either be held by brackets or hanging from the celing. (both supplied) the reflectors that come with it look half decent also...

im looking for new lights for my juwel rio 180. atm i have 2 30W t8's giving me 1.3 WPG i think :roll: and im looking for 2-2.5 WPG. what is good?

hi, i have daylight and warmlight in my rio 180..the daylight is very white compared to the more pink/ornage of the warmlight. as i have never taken my lights out (new tank) could you explane how you do it. i dont know which way to turn them.

wouldent that mean i would have to buy the t5 lighting unit... :x sorry i dont have a pic...its just a juwel rio 180. and the t8 light unit is about 2-3" acros but the light go out more about an inch each way on the underside.

i dont see how i can get any more watts as i can only install 2 lights (i think) in a juwel rio 180 or can you fit 2 higit lite t8 units? and if i cant then the highest watt lights i can find are 45watt lights which would give me 2WPG...does any one know where i can find lights with higher a...

sorry i meant to say "i bought a juwel rio second hand and dont know if the light unit is t8 or t5" how do you tell as i cant measure through the light for obvious reasons. but the circumfrence is 3"
