    Opinions on yeast

ahh sweet ok fair do's. Guess if you do as suggested then it will work on a smaller scale. I have had bad experiences with this though. Your right too.. its a lot more work than doing it properly :)

    Opinions on yeast

I really doubt DIY yeast builds can have enough pressure to push co2 out of a proper glass diffuser, I have had 2 an neither of them built up enough pressure. Have you been able to succeed in this?

    Opinions on yeast

Yes thanks Mate :-) puffers are plumping right up :-) as for all of the above, the plants don't really care what u dose as long as it's right.. Co2 is co2 it's just in different forms. On a 20l carbonated water would be fine, obviously gas co2 is always better but u will get very good effects...

    Opinions on yeast

Personally I would steer well clear of DIY. There are many options rather than DIY yeast builds. Your tank is small so carbonated water would work a treat, that's cheap. U can by liquid carbon too if u use it as guided. :-) Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2

    Liquid carbon optimized time?

What do you mean by this ian? Most evenings I see the same thing with my cuba. My carbonated water, LC and NPK, I assume makes it do this. I did not know that I must have gassed forms of co2 to form pearling? How do you explain what my cuba is doing? are you saying there are different reasons...

    Liquid carbon optimized time?

As for growth I cant complain. ALTHOUGH, my cuba does not seem to be running in any direction. It just stays were it is and grows up and outwards, I was thinking about breaking it up and spreading it but it seems happy to just sit and be happy and green so im not going to disturb it. Once my...

    Liquid carbon optimized time?

I think your right mate, its a completely different form of Co2.

    Liquid carbon optimized time?

I guess I could get a drop checker... Saying that there not the most accurate of tools, just a mere guide. My plants tell me what I lack and I'm becoming to understand them pretty well. they seem healthy, my Cuba was pearling last night so that's a good sign. My p.helferi could do with more co2...

    Liquid carbon optimized time?

so you believe there is no optimum time, im aware that it lasts for 24 hours but I want it to be put in at the most convenient times possible. I know this is almost not important but I was just bored and wondering if I could get any science out of the matter  I know that dosing LC then...
  12. jack-rythm

    Liquid carbon optimized time?

Yeah I understand that clonitza, but thanks again :). My main question was should I be dosing before lights come on like you would inject pressurized co2, or does this not matter when in liquid form?
  13. jack-rythm

    Liquid carbon optimized time?

I know people kick off their co2 kits a couple hours before lights on. Is there point in me doing this with liquid carbon? Is there an optimal time to dose it does it not cycle the tank in the same way, u feel people that are opting to use LC like me wonder this quite often so thought I would...

    Using Carbonated water

Sure mate I understand where your coming from, I'm only speaking from my point of view. My tanks are only 27 litre so I wouldn't think it would help in anything larger than a nano. But I can definitely vouch for carbonated water. Its kept my Cuba running well. I think its one of those cases...

    Using Carbonated water

nearly 4 months down the line and no signs of algae so i guess not :) maybe this is just my tank set up though.. My cuba is doing great and thats with carbonated water every day. :) well i buy a bottle of fizzy water for about 65p and it lasts me 1-2 weeks before it looses fiz so its pretty...

    Using Carbonated water

Check out my triptych journal, I explain what I use. I use roughly 6ml a day ;-) I use it on 3x 27l tanks so it works wonders, I doubt I would use it on anything bigger that 60l as the distribution would be too poor :-( Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2

    Using Carbonated water

haha amazing image Nath :) It would be a good idea.. but it really doesn't cost me that much, although I do hate to just throw away half a bottle every time... Ill see if I can find any on Ebay or something :)

    Using Carbonated water

HAHAHa! Ceg I was saying its not as affective because its life pan in the tank is less.. as aposed to a very constant and balanced flow of injected co2 into the tank :)

    Using Carbonated water

Check out my triptych nano journal. I wanted a tank that I could grow medium tech plants that required slightly more attention than low tech but without the co2 faff.. I use carbonated water for each of my 300mm cubes and have been doing so for about 2 months. I buy 2x 65p 2l bottles from the...

    CO2 Distribution

yeah maybe.. I have thought about trickle filters.. I have been eying up some ehiem 2213's for 30 quid each so I may just go down this route.. but there is a lot to think about.. 3 ehiems would be quite noisy.. Ill have a research foxfish ;) cheers bud.. Jack

    CO2 Distribution

these drawings are pretty cool.. Im needing to think about a tripple way valve for my 3 nano tanks im thinking of adding co2 too. :) having 2 inline diffusers seems quite expensive though? would one standard diffuser not work with two filters?

I had that exact same diffuser and found it not overly accurate for me. I had to buy a separate bubble counter. All bubble counters are of different sizes so I can't speak for all of them. Just the one I have is identical to mine. Also randomly your checker was the same till my one snapped...
