    HDR in my kitchen

I'd be the most ignorant host in the world with a tank like that next to me  I like the HDR photos, although has it made the sand look very orange, or is your sand just very orange?

How do you take full tank shots?

Good thread, must've been reading my mind. :) I've just got a DSLR, Canon EOS1000D, not a real pro, but great for me to start up photography again. I'm shooting at 1 /125, iso 800, F5.6. Not bad with 4 T5's glowing. I'm loving these threads at the minute, really helping out. Good stuff from...

Looks a bit thick to be flame moss. Love the fish Mark, my dad has some in his tank. Didn't realize how big they get though!

    Birthday surprise DSLR?

Well my birthday next week and my girlfriend has noticed my hobby of fishkeeping (4 ft tank her side of the bed :P ) and new found interest in photography. I haven't touched a 'proper' camera in years and I'm wondering what sort of specifications I should be looking for in a DSLR camera. Just...

    Photoshop cs3??

I've just got a new laptop with CS3 and Lightroom although I've never even heard of them  I use to be very good at design on photoshop about 4 years ago back in college, but kind of forgot about it once I entered the real world... Wanting to get back into it lately so I may be giving...

    Tank Photo Editing

I've been able to create some rather 'unbelievable' tanks with just Photoshop elements in my time, for getting ideas on plant layout. Recently got CS3 and I can only imagine what someone with a bit of skill could create with that. Feel that an image of a tank for a competition should be as...

    urbex / derelict stuff

In my experience, its not the security you got to worry about in some of these places. Its the homeless and druggies who might be hanging out in these places. Really seem to take offense to people with cameras... like a celebrity

    urbex / derelict stuff

This is the sort of stuff I did in college. Didn't know there was a word for it :P Basically, you just enter and shoot...or break, enter and shoot. No other way I knew of. Older the better. Nothing better than peeling lead based paint to add atmosphere to a shot.

    best budget camera

Only sort of birding I do is down the pub mate :) Use to be into photography back in art college so I've never really done wildlife, just thinking lately about getting back into it. The only real nature stuff I'm looking at is my tanks, though I am gradually liking the idea of taking pics of...

    best budget camera

I was looking into the Nikon D40, about £200-£250 I think. Would have to get a god zoom lens for it too. Love getting into the nitty gritty of stuff hehe.
