    Nature of the wall

An amazing set up, finished off with a beautiful 'scape. This has really inspired me. Thanks for posting! Also... A magnetic strip for the tools! Seeing that was a true "why didn't I think of that" moment. :)

    'Prairie Lands' IAPLC entry.

Well chuffed at this mate. Something a little different to the usual overly sculpted iwagumi. Love the almost scruffy foreground, moving bak to the "weeds" crypts by the rock work. Really amazing. True Nature Aquarium. Congratulations.

    UKAPS Members' IAPLC 2010 Showcase

The images of the entries on that site are not usually the finished 'scape that was sent in for the competion.

    "The Miracle Mire" photographs

Re: "The Miracle Mire" I don't want to rub it in Mark, but this shot? ADA all over it. Just a few more tweaks. Such a shame. :( And those poor fish... after surviving in the filter for all that time.

    My 100*40*50

Really lovely 'scape. One thing I am not too sure about though, is the left side where it looks like there is a dark spot between the microsum and the carpeting moss and tennelus. Maybe use another plant to grade the planting down towards the carpet? Like you did on the right.

    "Fallen Wilderness" Nine Months Later

No not personally. Heard too many horror stories to risk it. I'll bet they shoal like sardines with those angels swimming about

    Aquascapes 2003 to present

Re: Six years of 'scaping  I reckon George had a soft spot for fountain grass... didn't everyone when starting out with plants?? :D

    120cm - South East Asia

This to me, is a great example of breaking the rules and it working out into a great 'scape. Its all similar tones of green and the focal point, to me, is the large Microsorum slap bang in the middle. No golden ratio needed. Great stuff.

    Aquascapes 2003 to present

Re: Six years of 'scaping Great insight to the evolution of one of the pro's. It was actually 80cm - The shade, in an article in PFK that got me into high tech planted tanks, so cheers for that George :D Just wondering, why don't you use moss? Would have thought you might go for that look...

    Iwagumi

They're very similar but I don't think the elephant skin has the burnt orange, copper type veining that pagoda stone has. Also, the cracks in elephant skin are usually deeper and a little more uniform. I could be wrong though... A MA store I go to keeps them both in the same basket. Nightmare...

    my first real scape

Love seeing how we evolve as "artists" :) Heres my first, about a year ago. Sorry about the darkness, Bad camera and going for dark and mysterious

    glossostigma elatinoides carpet tank!!

Nice 'scape, but I also think a smaller fish species would suit it better. Lovely discus and obviously well looked after :D Some could argue that discus need cover to feel safe, but colour strains like that are captive bred so probably only known a bare, blue back tank before getting the...

    My Planted Discus Tank !!!!

Nice tank, perfect discus set up... has this been featured on PFK site? swear I've seen it before. Real nice. Whats the spec of the tank though fella? Good centrepiece amazon sword there too.

    Iwagumi

Like the naturalness of the first, but theres something about the second... like the compact look of the moss. Looks like its just had a trim? But I guess natural is what we're all aiming for :P That is Pagoda stone, awesome for Iwagumi.... for anything.

    Discuss playground tank

Sorry about being vague, what I meant by 'under performing' is it sounds like the biological filter mature enough to cope with the load of discus in the tank. Whether you stocked it too soon or perhaps something is killing some of the bacteria during water changes, I'm not sure.

    Discuss playground tank

Hey ty_phan. Lovely looking discus. Where are you from? if you dont mind me asking. Its just that you say you got your discus from Chen's discus, and I live in practical walking distance from where he's based and wondered if you got them mail order or if you live near him. Just wondering if you...

    60cm - English Summer

Re: 60cm opti-white There is some serious plugging going on in the articles. Got to be done though :D Just dug out the original set up issue and compared old and new of George's tank.... superb growth, the alternanthera looked so leggy at the start, just look at the vibrancy of it now! The...

    60cm - English Summer

Re: 60cm opti-white Saw this and Dan Crawford's tank in todays PFK. Both beautiful tanks flying the flag for Blighty in the ADA :D Have to bring this up though....Why do your pictures in the magazine seem bigger and clearer than the ones in Dan's Article? You put a word in to the editors or...
