Very similar, just bright green. I've seen about 5 of them, but only have a few blurry photos.
Just googled it and found this
The green colour with blue tipped tail has me thinking you might indeed be right.
I just chucked all my stems out and washed a few other plants.
I found a nymph when pouring the dregs of the tank into a net the other day, got it in a tub on in the window.
Here's a slightly less sadistic alternative lol.
That's actually the staurogyne I got off you months ago. Notice how insane it grows in a low tech! (not) :|
Stripped everything down and didn't find a single one. Catching 100's of shrimp is not much fun either! I still haven't caught them all yet and I've been on with it since about 12.
Got a boat load of stems and crypts left over, and they look happy in their new setup.
Is it the 300mm bulb?
£3 from here: http://www.bltdirect.com/products.php?cat=653
Still not exactly very bright, but they're just low output ballasts after all
I've been finding green dragonfly's flyin about the room for the past few month, but couldn't find anything in the tanks. Until now! I spotted the horrible little thing kind of half out, half in the water in my shrimp tank. I tried to murder it but it swam off.
I'm sure I read...
This kind of makes me feel better, as I dropped a bucket in the bath doing a water change and smashed a hole in it last weekend lol. That was one expensive water change.
Did you manage to save the livestock or did they all die?
When I win the lottery, I'll maybe start thinking about buying my stuff from TGM.
Have you tried http://www.poseidons-palace.co.uk/Poseidons_Aquariums/Rimless%20Aquariums.htm Danny? I bet he'd drill the tanks however you want no problem.
Agreed mate. I actually started to rescape doing just that after I posted the pics. Except I made it more of a raised cliff kind of style instead of a smooth bank.
Not actually got a list of plants yet, as I still need to order a filter, light, co2 reg etc.
Gonna upload some pics of how it...
Hows this looking so far? Honest criticism/suggestions wanted!
With the incredibly filthy glass, crap lighting and amazing photography skills not being a factor. :shh:
Went for a bit of a sharp drop off "cliffy" type look on the left, to a smooth gradient down the right, although it doesn't...
I've found a few dried out CRS on the floor in the past.
Once found a danio in the bin still alive too lol. No idea how it actually managed that, because the bin is under the desk.
Re: Just added another tank to the collection
I'm on my 3rd tank now and have this constant internal struggle to try and stop myself from getting more. It's a disease!
Eyy, never noticed that. I'm from Consett way, you? I'm definitely more of a lurker than anything lol. Fish keeping wise I've never stopped, but I've just came back to the "Green Side" recently after a few year break.
Because not only would it hide the wallpaper & cables behind the tank, it is obviously transparent to some degree and would produce an interesting contrast.
I was recently looking back some of my old orders from AE, caterhouse, etc when I started up my first 40G planted. Couldn't believe how much I'd spent. (Easily £1k+) But at the time I could happily afford it, and got a lot out of it, so I don't regret it one bit.
Right now I'm on the other end...
Type of fish and one type of plant, for every future scape or tank that you ever do, what what you pick?
Me, I'd have to go with the good old Harlequin Rasbora, and Hygrophillia Difformis.
Great lookin' fish, and constantly active in all water levels. Just great fun to watch all the time. Not...
